Projection Class 101

Carlos' P.O.V.

As I woke up, the sun is already hot. I look at my clock and it's 4:00 am. Weird surroundings for 4:00 am. I see Mikey and Angelo wake up also. I didn't know they picked the bed next to each other. What is happening? Am I losing my brother? Am I losing my best friend? I tried not to act all jealous of their new-formed friendship and grabbed my towel, heading towards the bathroom.

After I took a bath, I saw them standing in the doorway and I heard them talking about something. I ignored them again and continued my morning routine as I saw Mikey go into the bathroom. After I have put on my clothes, I checked my clock again and it said 4:45 am. I scrounged in my bag and I checked the schedule that Grandma gave me. It said that our first class today is during 6:00 am.

"I have time for breakfast," I said.

As I grabbed my bag I saw Mikey coming out the bathroom door. He looked at me and I stared blankly back at him. I walked out the door and proceeded to walk towards the staircase.

"Uy, kapitbahay ka pala namin," may biglang tumulak sakin. Tiningnan ko kung sino yun and I felt a but happy, it was Aicah.

"Huh, uh, oo. Jaan kami inassign na room ni Grandma," sagot ko.

"Sa next room lang kami sa Room 18," sabi nya.

"Sinong 'kayo'?" tanong ko.

"Si Stephen at si Seth. Roommates ko din sila hindi lang best friends," sabi nya.

"Oh, bakit hindi mo sila kasabay ngayon? Bakit sakin ka sumasabay?" tanong ko.

"Eh, sila naman talaga yung palaging magkasama. Hindi mo naman mapaghihiwalay yung dalawang yun kahit kailan eh," sagot nya.

Finally, we've arrived at the 20th floor. Kaya pala nasa 20th floor yung mga pagkain kasi nasa 19th floor yung mga rooms ng students.

"Anong kakainin mo?" I asked curiously.

"Bibili nalang ako ng dragon cereals. Mura lang yun saka masarap pa. 3 dragon gems lang. Gusto mo tikman?" alok niya.

"Sige, sige," sabi ko.

Pumunta kami sa isang booth na may rainbow colored dragon at pure white na dragon.

"Dalawang order nga po ng dragon cereals," sabi ni Aicah.

"With or without milk?" tanong nung nagtitinda.

"With po, both" sagot ni Aicah sabay bigay ng 6 na dragon gems.

"Ay, may pambayad naman ako. Sana ako nalang nagbayad nung order ko," sabi ko.

"Bayaan mo na. We're friends naman diba? Okay lang yun," sabi ni Aicah.

Nginitian ko sya at napatingin ako sa booth. Ibinubuga nung raibow-colored na dragon yung cereal at yung pure white na dragon ay ibinubuga yung gatas. Kinuha ni Aicah yung dalawang bowl then she shoved one in my face.

"Enjoy," sabi nya ng nakangiti.

After namin maubos yung cereals, we decided to go to our classes.

"Saan punta mo?" tanong ni Aicah.

"Uh, according sa schedule ko, ng first class ko daw is Projection Class 101, sa may gym." sagot ko

"Oh? Dun din yung first class ko eh, tara sabay na tayo," sabi nya sabay haltak sa braso ko.

We finally arrived sa gym at nandun din si Carlos. It's no surprise kasi parehas din naman kaming beginners. I stared at him for a few minutes. I couldn't take my eyes off him kasi nakita ko na he's made more friends. Now he's surrounded by guys. I stared at him both blankly and with anger...
