Chapter Three- Letters From The Dead
"So, do you think mom was ever going to tell us?" Felicity asked Anastasia who ran a hand through her blonde hair nervously. After telling Felicity about this whole Angel crap Anastasia had got the reaction she anticipated from Felicity, mad. Felicity had finally cooled down, thank God, and was now asking Anastasia the questions even she didn't know. All Anastasia knew was that they were both very confused and mad.
"I don't know. Maybe never. Although, she gave me a weapon so I don't know." Anastasia replied honestly while Felicity looked at the living room floor. "Anastasia, what are we going to do?" Felicity asked looking up at her older sister tears filling up her eyes. Anastasia knew when she turned eighteen that she would be an official adult but she didn't know she would have to making these kind of decisions so fast. Usually, a mother would be making these kind of decisions but their mother was kidnapped and Anastasia was going to have to step up and make them in her mother's place. Anastasia didn't know how to easily put this to Felicity. Felicity was younger and probably more breakable in these kind of situations. She needed someone to get orders from or she would probably crash and burn. Anastasia decided what she needed to do and needed say.
Anastasia looked around their home then looked at Felicity. "We search every inch of this damn house. Mom gave me this pen for a reason. She probably knew these people were after her. We need answers and I think we look here first. Then, we pack everything. We need and leave here. Those people will be after us to. They would most likely look here first. Let's not give them easy game on us." Anastasia stated sitting up more straight. She hoped she made the right decision. Felicity nodded her head in what seemed like agreement then stood up. "We will find mom." Felicity stated looking at Anastasia with a serious expression. Anastasia stood up as well then hugged her little sister. "Yeah." Anastasia said while Felicity hugged her back. That night, Anastasia and Felicity would begin their adventure. This specific night would later be written down in history books as the beginning of the fatal Angel Demon War.
"Felicity! I found something!" Anastasia yelled at her sister from the wardrobe in her mother's room. Out of all the years Anastasia lived, she never went inside this wardrobe. Not once. She was told not to because it "supposedly" had loaded guns. I guess secrets are kept safe behind lies. "What is it?" Felicity asked entering her mother's room curiously looking at the marble box in Anastasia's hands. "I don't know. Looks important though." Anastasia said setting the box on her mother's bed while Felicity walked up beside her just as curious about the box.
"I'm going to open it now." Anastasia said after the two girls checked the box for traps. I mean, who knew. If their mother kept it hidden maybe it was trapped. Usually people kept things safely hidden with traps and such. "Okay." Felicity said a little hesitant while Anastasia placed her hand on the marble box. It was cold. The box was colder then Adrian Pennyrose, the shy but sly boy who sat in the back of Anastasia's fifth grade class. She always caught Adrian looking at her from afar with a smile on his freckled face. Adrian had always smiled at her from grade five through eight. He was always nice to her, so she was never bothered by his presence unlike many other children in her class. He was a good guy. It was to bad he moved away halfway through eighth grade.
Anastasia shook her head at the thought of Adrian then quickly opened the box. "It looks like a bunch of paper in here." Felicity said pulling out pieces of blank paper while Anastasia looked curiously inside the paper filled box getting an idea. "Take out all the blank paper. Maybe there is something under them." Anastasia suggested while Felicity stared pulling out all the blank appear.
