Prologue:
You probably ask yourself the same question everyday, "Would anybody care if they never saw me again?" Yeah I know how it feels to be the outcast. The one that nobody cares about. Just think, if one person came into your life and changed everything. Everything goes perfect for awhile then somebody always has to mess everything up. But sometimes your voice must be heard. Even if things take a wrong turn in the process. It just depends on how you will judge it.
Kyndall's POV
As I lay awake dreaming of my life and how I haven't done anything in it; I was wondering what it would be like to be somebody. That somebody who isn't scared of anyone or anything. But unfortunately that's not me. I'm the shy one who sits in the back of the class and doesn't say a word. I feel like everything is wrong in my life and I shouldn't belong on this world. I'll go another day pushing my nerdy glasses to my face and being the one that gets bullied everyday.
As I organize my room. Putting everything in its proper place. I hear my phone ring and notice that is my best friend Courtney. Courtney has straight, brown hair that reaches her elbows. She has been my best friend since pre-k and we tell each other everything. We are completely opposite from one another. She goes out to parties and I the social one and I am the one that works out every night and the does homework till midnight.
"What's up Courtney?" I say as I put my last pillow on my bed.
"There's is a party at Tristen's house and you are coming." Right after I heard those words the doorbell rang. "Get your ass back up stairs and we are getting you girl-i-fide!"
What the hell do I not have a say in anything I do anymore? "Now wait one minute; first of all I don't like Tristen. Second of all I hate going to parties because I don't want to be in the popular crowd. And lastly I HATE TRISTEN!!" I said with anger. She knows I hate Tristen and I never want to gave out with the popular crowd.
"Just this one please Kyndall! I won't make you go to any other one."
"You promise?" Questioning her like I highly doubt she is going to keep her promise.
"I promise!" She gave me those puppy dog eyes and you know I had to say yes. So we both went up stairs and she started tearing up my closet. I mean right after I cleaned it too. What the hell! "Nope that wont do. Definitely not this. You need something that will show off your curves."
With that thought in my mind I walk over to a dress hidden behind my mother's picture. Before I took the picture off the wall I remember what it was like to have a mother. All these kids have it so well and I come home everyday without a person to hug me and say good job today honey. " What about this one?" I took down the picture and pointed to this black lacy dress that showed off my curves perfectly.
"Oh my god Kyndall that is drop dead gorgeous!!!" She said as her mouth dropped in awww.
"The last time this dress was worn was when my mother was at my college recruiting decision. Where I signed my name to go to Penn State University. When she was driving home she was hit by a car and never recovered from her accident. I see once a week at the graveyard. And I hold her picture every night in my hands." I started crying but quickly wiped away my tears and took the dress and walked over to Courtney.
"Okay now lets make you girl-i-fide!!" Putting her hands on both of my shoulders. Then she grabbed her make-up kit and instantly I was thinking why did I let her talk me into this. Maybe this night will be worth it. Who am I kidding all I want to do is workout. "Now close your eyes and it will over before you know it." I do what she says and close my eyes.
*2 hours later*
I finally see myself in the mirror. And can I just say WOW I looked smoking hot!!! I'm not used to seeing myself like this. Now I can't wait to go to the party. Wait did I really just say that. I hate going to parties especially if it has Tristen. "We got to hit the road if we are going to make the party!" She said pointing to the door up and down.
Finally we made it to the party. Lets just say Tristen's house is huge. It's mostly like a mansion. I already feel out of place because I pair of eyes keep staring at me the whole time. I turn my back and Tristen is always behind me but I never see his eyes. So I just walk away every time. "Hey you over in the black dress!" I point at myself, "Yes, get your ass up here and sing!" I was trying to say no but everybody kept pushing me and eventually I was on stage with a microphone.
I took and a deep breath and:
STANDING AT THE BACK DOOR
SHE TRIED TO MAKE IT FAST
ONE TEAR HIT THE HARD WOOD
IT FELL LIKE BROKEN GLASS
SHE SAID SOMETIMES LOVE SLIPS AWAY
AND YOU JUST CAN'T GET IT BACK
LET'S FACE IT
FOR ONE SPLIT SECOND
SHE ALMOST TURNED AROUND
BUT THAT WOULD BE LIKE POURING RAIN DROPS
BACK INTO A CLOUD
SO SHE TOOK ANOTHER STEP AND SAID
I SEE THE WAY OUT AND I'M GONNA TAKE IT
I DON'T WANNA SPEND MY LIFE JADED
WAITING TO WAKE UP ONE DAY AND FIND
THAT I'VE LET ALL THESE YEARS GO BY
WASTED
ANOTHER GLASS OF WHISKY BUT IT STILL DON'T KILL THE PAIN
SO HE STUMBLES TO THE SINK AND POURS IT DOWN THE DRAIN
HE SAYS IT'S TIME TO BE A MAN AND STOP LIVING FOR YESTERDAY
GOTTA FACE IT
CAUSE I DONT WANNA SPEND MY LIFE JADED
WAITING TO WAKE UP ONE DAY AND FIND
THAT I'VE LET ALL THESE YEARS GO BY WASTED
OH I DONT WANNA KEEP ON WISHING, MISSING
THE STILL OF THE MORNING, THE COLOR OF THE NIGHT
I AIN'T SPENDING NO MORE TIME
WASTED
SHE KEPT DRIVING ALONG
TILL THE MOON AND THE SUN WERE FLOATING SIDE BY SIDE
HE LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND HIS EYES WERE CLEAR
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A WHILE
HEY, YEAH
OH, I DON'T WANNA SPEND MY LIFE JADED
WAITING TO WAKE UP ONE DAY AND FIND
THAT I'VE LET ALL THESE YEARS GO BY
WASTED
OH I DONT WANNA KEEP ON WISHING, MISSING
THE STILL OF THE MORNING, THE COLOR OF THE NIGHT
I AIN'T SPENDING NO MORE TIME
WASTED
OH, I DON'T WANNA SPEND MY LIFE JADED
WAITING TO WAKE UP ONE DAY AND FIND
THAT I'VE LET ALL THESE YEARS GO BY
WASTED
YEAH, YEAH
OH I DON'T WANNA KEEP ON WISHING, MISSING
THE STILL OF THE MORNING, THE COLOR OF THE NIGHT
I AIN'T SPENDING NO MORE TIME
WASTED
After I finished I just walked off the stage with my head down not paying attention to where I was going. Then I ran into something or should I say someone. I fell right to my feet. "I'm sorry beautiful!" I heard a husky voice say, then I say a hand to help me up. Thats when I saw......
