LALYA'S P.O.V
As soon as we got to where everyone else was I pulled my hand away from his and looked at him with pure anger.
"Did you know?! DID YOU KNOW THAT I WAS GONNA TURN INTO A MONSTER?!"
he looked down not looking me in the eyes. I turned to everyone else who was staring.
"DID ALL OF YOU KNOW?! WHEN WAS ANYONE GONNA TELL ME BEFORE OR AFTER I TURNED INTO AN ANIMAL?! DID ANY OF YOU THINK IT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE TO TELL SOMEONE SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THEM WITHOUT ANY KIND OF CHOICE?!"
"Layla Calm down!" Sam said like he was ordering me staring me down.
"HELL NO i WILL NOT CALM DOWN SAM WHO GAVE YOU THE FREAKING RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?! I TURN INTO A MONSTER!" I couldn't hold back the tears anymore I just need to cool off I turned and started to walk back into the woods. I felt an electric shock and looked down to see Seth holding my wrist with pain in his eyes. He thinks he's in pain! I'VE BEEN COMPLETLY BETRAYED. Without any waring I slapped Seth in the Face and took off running crying my eyes out.
I was just walking around and caught that pine scent when I first shifted into.. whatever I shifted into and looked where I stood when in my monster form and saw huge wolf prints. Is that what I turn into? A wolf?
*RING RING RING RING!*
I clear my voice and wipe away the leftover tears on my face and click answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey Lay!!"
"Oh my God Hillary! I miss you so much!"
"I miss you too! we have to talk!"
"OK!I got time whats up?"
"How is it at your new school? any hotties? Does he have a brother?" I couldn't help but Laugh
"Yeah the school is great I don't know maybe a few hotties here and there you know." She laughed. She knew something was wrong with me but I didn't want to tell her'Hey Hill by the way I turn into a wolf' She would've thought I was on drugs and high. So I just told her about what happened at school with that tool bag and she was mighty pissed!
"WAIT UNTIL i GET A HOLD OF THAT ANIMAL!"
"Hill. You live in New York. And I'm in forks!"
"Well my parents said during the holidays I could come and visit if that's okay?"
"Of course it is! Hill your like a sister to me!" We both laughed and told me about how everyone is missing me.
"But in all seriousness, Layla you need to be careful over there."
"Why?"
"I'm gonna sound like a complete creeper but you know how I get all mama bear and such...anyways, They have a lot of animal and wolf attacks over there." I gasped and got wide eyed
I didn't answer here
"Lay?! you there?"
"Yeah hey I gotta go see you later love ya bye."
I didn't realize it was getting dark and decide to just find a road and find my way home. I began walking and it started to get even colder.
*RING! RING!*
"Hill I told you I'm fine-"
"Layla?! where are you? are you okay tell me where you are."
"Seth?"
"Yeah."
"Go to hell!" I ended the call and kept walking but I was completely lost.
I text-ed my mom
*MOM*
*WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU*
*MOM I'M SCARED!*
*STAY THERE SETH WILL FIND YOU.*
*RING.RING.RING*
"hello?"
"Layla! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"
"Jac-Jacob.."
"Layla!"
It was starting to get colder but not so cold to where I couldn't handle it. It was the thought that I was lost and I didn't know where I was.
"Lay-"
My phone died and I threw it so hard on the ground it broke. I felt so stupid for being a brat! I knew what I should do.
I thought of something that angered me the most and what came to mind was that jerk wad Dylan and I felt my body on fire and my bones snapping and going in every which way.
I looked down to see white paws.
I got in a stance and howled as loud as I could and heard the pants of wolves and the stomping of a herd...
I saw two in the middle one a russet color and the other pure black.
I could just tell the black one was Sam! and he looked pissed! I looked down feeling like I had to. He was coming closer towards me showing his canniness and basically telling my to bow. But I didn't I looked at the Russet one who i could tell was Jacob and he growled at Sam. Jacob and a tri colored wolf stood next to me and guided me away as we heard Sam howl and it wasn't a happy one. I tuned around to see a light gray wolf behind us who looked like Leah and I yelped out of joy. She just nodded I turn to my left looking a the tri colored wolf and knew instantly it was Seth. I wish I could tell him how sorry I was.
'It's okay Layla I forgive you. It should me apologizing for not telling you.."
I looked at him and gave him a light lick which surprised him and he nipped at my ear
"OK you two that's enough." Jacob said in his wolf form looking at us.
I turn to see Leah rolling her eyes.
I look at my surroundings to see we are at my house. My parents are in the back yard looking furious and worried at the same time but very understanding.
My dad gave Seth and Jacob clothes while my mom gave Leah and I clothes. The boys changed outside while Leah and I ran into the house in wolf form into my room while my parents were on the other side of the house. Everyone met up in the kitchen where my mom made hot cookies and some ice cream. No one talked it was completely silent.
"So mom do you... you know turn into a... wolf?"
" your father and I used too until we gave it up and we wanted you to have a different life and maybe a better education and some place outside of our pack."
"when were you going to tell me?" I looked at her with heart brokenness( is that even a word?) and I could tell she was upset about it.
"We didn't know how and we knew it was time to come back home. So you could find your mate, and start your own path and adventure. We knew your were going to shift especially from your unusual mood swings. Your mother and I decided that if your were going to shift, it would be around our family-"
"Mate? Whats a mat-"
"I looked at everyone wanting this question until I looked Seth and I felt my eyes being open and could feel that he was my gravity, my whole earth suddenly felt revolved around him that I would want him to be my friend,my protector, my mate, no my soul mate the one I wanted to spend forever with.
I got that just by looking at him. Just knowing that he was the one. I walked towards him grabbing his hands and pulling myself closer towards him. I looked around and swa no one was around. I turned back at him not being able to keep my eyes away from him. I loked down at his lips then back at him.
"A-Are you m-my mate?"
"Yes." was all he said until we kissed for the second time that day. This time it was special it was connecting with my other half that I found but was not searching for but glad i had it with me.
