LAYLA'S P.O.V
Seth pulled me away from her a little and she was getting freaked out.
"Seth... it could be someone that was on the plane or something."
Paul stepped up and opened his arms so he could check for himself.
"Hi I'm Paul. One thing you have to know about me is that I'm a huger." She checked him out then agreed for the hug.. Paul sniffed her but she didn't notice anything.
He looked at us and shook his head mouthing the words...'clear' I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding . and Seth put his arm around my waist in a comfort like manner.
"Hillary this is Paul, Embry,Quill Jacob and.. Seth... my boyfriend."
"Hi nice to meet you.. all of you. Not to sound rude but any of you not taken?"
The only two that weren't 'taken' were Embry and Paul but she really doesn't need to know that
"Hill you have a boyfriend! Speaking of... where is he?"
"Oh uh he said he would be here tomorrow but we don't need to pick him up."
I nodded and looked at Seth as he grabbed my hand intertwining our fingers together. Embry and Paul grabbed her things putting them in the back. Hillary took the other individual seat that was behind the passenger.
"So uh Layla how did you meet all of your friends?"
"well they're more like family but our parents all grew up together and still stay in contact like a family so we're just a big ol' family. Right guys?"
"Yup!" They all said n'sync making Hill laugh her awkward laugh.
"Do they-do they live with you as well? Not to sound mean or anything?!"
"No hill ... they don't"
"So why didn't your boyfriend fly with you?" asked Jacob looking through the review mirror and back at the road. He was needing answers on this guy especially since he could be a vampire.
"Oh Alex? He isn't into the daytime travel he..uh has sensitive skin towards sunlight.. So he took the plane at night."
I could feel the uncomfortable thickness in the air.. What's gonna happen to Hill and her boyfriend?
We got home and the boys ate with us.A while after dinner, Embry and Quill leave. As Jake, Paul and Seth decided to stick around for a while. Seth stayed to be with me but the other two were here to investigate Hillary for any other signs.
"Hey uh the guys want to know if it's okay if we can stay the night to check out this Alex guy." Seth said talking low making sure Hill wasn't listening in.
"Yeah lemme just ask my parents."
"Hey mom?"
"Yeah honey?"
"Is it okay if Seth , Jake and Paul stay over... it's too check-"
"I know what they are gonna check. Your father and I think it's ok but Seth and the boys are gonna be in the guest room... On the other side of the house." My mom gave me a look.
"Mom we aren't typical love sick teens. He's my mate and would probably want the best for me!" I mumble but still with a tone in my voice. How could she think that Seth and I would do something?!
"I know but It'll look weird with Hill and Seth both in your room don't you think?"
"oh... yeah I uh kinda forgot that little part." I smiled cheekily and blushed a little just thinking how weird that would be!
I left and went to where the guys were with Hill in the livingroom.
"Hey uh Seth can we talk?"
"Yeah sure." He got up with Paul following behind him grinning and made Seth and myself in a huddle as he was in between us
"Alone." We both said
"Oh... jeez! no need to get in a little fit!" He backed up with his arms in a surrender manner.
"Jake help me with this fine lady's bags." He winked at Hillary as she blushed.
"She's taken Paul!"
The 3 of them left as I grabbed Seth's hand and lead him to the backyard and closed the door behind us.
"What's the matter Layla?"
"What's gonna happen if you know who's bf is a you know what."
"We have to kill him." He said it in complete honesty and no other emotion in his voice.
"No! you can't do that to Her! It'll ruin her! Can't you just let him off with a warning?"
"No Layla killing vampires is what we do. It's the reason why we're wolves. Our ancestors did it and so will we."
"What about the Cullens?! What's so different from them to Alex?"
"We, or our ancestors made a pact with them that no harm will come of them if they promised not to harm anyone of our pack-that doesn't matter I mean for all we know that scent on her could be from someone on the plane! We don't need to come to that until it happens... Okay?"
I walked in front of him crossing my arms and got in his face.
"And for argument sake he is... No one and I mean NO ONE harms him. Got it Jacob and Paul?!" I knew they were listening. I looked at Seth and walked back inside heading to my room sensing that Hill was in there unpacking and getting her things situated. She's like a sister to me and nothing is gonna happen to her or her boyfriend. When Hill is in love... she's in love! Especially since the dude is flying for her to spend time with her! Right?
