Keith: "Alright, today you will be using the 3dmg gear to kill the Titans!"
It was time to use the gear. Everyone passed except Eren. Eren couldn't keep in balance until I heard a noises coming from his belt.
Keith: "what's wrong jaeger!"
You: " sir."
Keith: "what is it."
You: "it's not him it's the belt."
The commander looks at me for seconds.
Keith: "Wagner trade belts with jaeger!"
As soon as they traded belts Eren was able to keep in balance.
Keith: "your belt was broken so we have to get you a new one jaeger. Good ear (l/n)."
You: " it's nothing." I said with no expression.
Eren stood there with a big smile on his face looking towards the crowd and at Mikasa. It did make me uncomfortable but I didn't know why.
--------------------Time skip---------------
When it was lunch everyone was calm being there usual self after yesterday. But seriously they shouldn't make things a big deal when they're just little things. As usual I poured in some of my mothers special sauce in the same seat I sat as always.
You: "I wish you were here mom and dad." I whispered to myself.
Mikasa: "what was that?"
I didn't notice Mikasa was right next to me.
You: "how long have you sat there."
Mikasa: "not very long"
You: "I see. Sorry I didn't notice you there."
Mikasa: " it's ok you were just taking things off your mind. Right?"
You: "yeah. You look even prettier with your hair short." I blurted
Mikasa: "oh..uh.. Thank you." She blushed.
You: "sorry did that make you uncomfortable?"
Mikasa: "no! Not at all."
You: "I can see it in your eyes. I'll be going now. Sorry again for making things awkward." I then got up and left the mess hall. (Didn't know if I put mess hall or cafeteria.) Mikasa sat there in silence holding out her hand before I left.
I didn't go straight to my dorm. I was just walking around under the night sky. "I guess I'm still dead inside." I thought. I went to find a place where I can lie down and watch the stars and so I did. I put out my hand above my expressionless looking face. I stared at my hand for awhile with my one and only right eye.
You: "how did I even ended up like this."
Those questions were coming back to me.
You: "don't get to comfortable (y/n) you might fall asleep and get those horrifying nightmares."
After I said that I heard sticks cracking and breaking thinking it was some animal but it wasn't. It was out in the distance but with my enhance hearing I could hear it far enough.
You: "who's there."
As I continued watching the stars. But it didn't answer.
You: "I know you're out there so just come out and don't be scared. Just calm yourself and talk to me if you need to."
I could here them getting closer. I sit up.
You: "you need something?"
I looked backed to see who it was. It was Mikasa.
Mikasa: "how did you know I was here?"
You: "I just heard sticks breaking from the distance. So what is it that you need."
Mikasa: "nothing. I'm just here to talk about earlier."
You: "i said I was sorry. I didn't mean to make things awkward."
Mikasa: "no I said it was fine."
You: " I see. Are you sure?"
Mikasa: "I'm sure."
You: "I'm glad."
I stood up and looked at Mikasa straight into her grey eyes. I wasn't a mean glare or any thing just some normal stare.
You: "Mikasa can I tell you something."
Mikasa: "sure what is it."
You: "you don't have to answer but why do I feel so calm and normal when I'm always talking to you?"
Mikasa: "I don't know. It's probably that you're comfortable talking to me. Why do you only talk to me?"
You:" because... You're the only one who I can talk to. I don't think that I'm able to talk to anyone else about my problems."
Mikasa stood there in silence. She did blushed but she tried to cover it with her red scarf.
Mikasa: "it's kinda weird hearing these things coming from you"
You: "yeah you're probably right. I'm not being my normal self."
Mikasa: "but I like it! I mean I like how you're expressing your emotions. I want you to express them more often."
You: "I don't think that can happen. I forgot how to."
Mikasa looked at you. For a moment it looked like she was leaning in closer to me. Until I felt arms around my waist not knowing what was happened. "What is this feeling" I thought. Is it a hug.
Mikasa: "I know one thing about you (y/n) and I want to know more."
You: "and that is."
Mikasa: "that you used to be happy. At least once in your life you smiled. Until it vanished."
I looked down at her.
You: "you're right. I did smile before. And it did vanished. But to tell you the truth, I don't think you're ready to be able to hear about my past."
Mikasa looked up at me.
Mikasa: "one day you'll tell me right."
You: "one day I will. I promise."
I backed her up from the hug I never felt before but it was warm. And it did make me feel better or weird.
You: " it's getting dark, we should head back."
Mikasa nodded in agreement. We headed back to our dorms and got ready for the next day.
----next day---
Keith: "Today you will do hand to hand combat. Listen closely for your partners."
After patterning the cadets I was part entered up with a girl named Annie.
You: "(y/n)"
Annie: "annie"
You: "Shall we get started."
We got in a fighting stance. Looking each other's eyes. I looked at her ocean blue eyes like armin's. And she looked at my (e/c) eye.
This should be easy to handle.
