Every solider under pixis command had to get ready for the mission. To be honest, this is the first time I have ever used my powers for something, and I don't think it's gonna hand well. Just thinking about it starts to give anxiety. I mean, everybody is depending on me.
Armin: "(y/n)!"
You: "oh. Sorry, I was deep in thought."
Armin: ".. How come you didn't tell us?"
You: "I was.. scared"
Eren: "Scared? That's unusual"
Eren came behind me along with mikasa. Just standing in between the three builds up my anxiety.
Armin: "scared of what exactly?"
You: "It's just that I don't use my powers very often. To tell you the truth, I have used them to save eren from being eaten."
Mikasa: "what do you mean 'save eren from being eaten'"
That's right. Mikasa was here. I needed to change the subject or she'll be more overprotective.
You: "Nothing. Well, I used my speed for the first time I think.. I don't. What if I fail on carrying the boulder... to seal the hole"
Armin: "(y/n) it's going to be alright."
Armin put his hand on my shoulder and I looked down at him. His ocean blue eyes sparkled with so much confidence.
Armin: "(y/n) I believe in you. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the first time we have ever actually fought back"
Those words... I couldn't just keep them out of my mind. Eren then puts his hand on my other shoulder.
Eren: "you may be right! (Y/n) we could actually have so much strength to fight against the titans and win!"
I couldn't let those words leave either..
Mikasa: "but if you're in some kind of danger.. I'll be there. All three of will. Like we promised"
My eyes widened just a tiny bit. This feeling, again. I never thought that I would be able to gain trust from my three friends after hearing everything.
You: "How come you don't fear me?"
Armin: "(y/n) you're our friend.."
I looked down..
You: "Thank you."
Eren: "something you said?"
You: "it was nothing. We should go ahead and talk to pixis."
The four of us left to seek for pixis. Armin was the one who planned the whole thing, and it was a pretty good plan. Mikasa had to go with me, and just by the look of her eyes she seemed like she wanted to go with me.
Mikasa: "(y/n) how are you feeling?"
You: "I don't know what to feel, but I want to know what you're feeling."
Mikasa: "me? Just a bit of different emotions"
You: "you don't seem to show it."
Mikasa: "It doesn't matter if I do or not."
You: "well I'm just glad you're alright."
Mikasa: "I could say the same thing"
Mikasa gave me a small smile which made me feel a bit better. Just something about her makes me feel different than anyone else makes me feel.
Pixis: "alright (y/n) go ahead and put on the gear. We're about to start the mission."
You: "I think I'll be good without it. But thanks"
Pixis: "are you sure?"
You: "I am."
Pixis: "well if you say so."
Pixis left me and mikasa alone again. I looked back at mikasa and she was looking down.
You: "is something wrong?"
Mikasa looked back up at me and our eyes connected. It's weird for me to be able to "read" emotions and/or feelings when I can't feel them myself, but for some reason I couldn't read hers this time. There was only a moment of silence between us and just looking at each other.
Armin: "(y/n)! Mikasa! We're starting the mission."
Our connected eyes broke and we soon left with armin. This is my chance. My one and only chance to gain everyone's trust.
