"Misty!"
I skid to a sudden stop and look back at my group. Gee, can they be any slower?
We have a small group of five people, including me of course. I'm the only girl in the group. Apparently Jonathan is a dungeon explorer too. That kinda surprised me when I found out. I honestly thought he'd be a hunter or a slayer or something like that.
Colton, one of Colonel's friends, is our group leader, and I swear they're like twins. Which makes me instantly not like him.
I glare at Colton as he walks over to me. I notice Jonathan give me a warning glare. I grunt and look back at Colton. I move out of his way to let him take the lead.
The group passes me and I end up at the back with Jonathan.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jonathan asks me.
"Yeah, peachy." I grunt.
He sighs. "Look, don't let him get to you." He says, "To be honest with you, I'm not a huge fan of him or the colonel either."
I glance at him, then look ahead. "Yeah...right."
"Here we are!" Colton calls from the front of the group. In front of him stands a large stone tower. It had about six floors. Not the largest tower I've seen much larger, up to nine floors.
Each floor, if I can recall correctly, has one large chest with random items in it. On either side of the chest are two spawners, usually of the simpler mobs such as spiders, zombies and skeletons. It's a pretty simple dungeon, but it's worth it.
At the top there is a large chest with so many riches like diamonds and emeralds. Only problem is the boss that guards it. It's not exactly a hard boss, depending on how tall the tower is you can just knock it off and it'll die. The hard part is being quick. Once the boss is dead the tower turns on self-destruct mode and you have to get out before everything blows up.
It's pretty awesome if you ask me.
"It's so tall" one of the boys in our group complains. I grunt in disapproval.
"But it's the closest one we know of," Colton says, "and besides these towers are probably the easiest so it's good for beginners like you."
"Hmm" the boy nods.
I'm pretty sure the cake dungeon is easier. I want to say, but I keep my mouth shut. Like Jonathan said, I do not want to get on this guy's bad side. I'll just keep quiet and do as he says.
Yeah that's not happening.
I bolt past the group and towards the dungeon; I don't even bother looking back when Jonathan and the rest of the group call me. I get to the first room and pull out my iron sword and iron pickaxe.
The first floor is easy; just a few zombies and two spawners. I quickly slay the zombies and break the spawners. I take a quick glance inside the chest. All there is some leather and a fishing rod. I leave the items for the others and move to the next floor.
The next one has spiders. I kill off the spiders and break the spawners. I check the chest, nothing interesting to me so I leave it for the others. I'm about to move on to the next floor when I hear footsteps coming up the stairs behind me. I look at the stairs and see Jonathan run up.
"Misty!" He says, "Are you crazy?"
I roll my eyes. "Oh come on" I say, "this dungeon is easy."
"That's not what I meant" Jonathan sighs.
I grunt and turn to the stairs going to the next floor. "I don't care what Colton says" I state, "I'm not one to really follow orders. And besides," I look back at him, "I can handle things on my own."
