I wake to the smell of freshly cooked bread. I am lying on a soft bed wrapped in layers of warm blankets.
I crack my eyes open and look around. I am in a small wooden cabin. The bed I am on is on the farthest wall from the door. Along the left wall when entering is a crafting table, a lit furnace with, what I'm guessing based off the smell, has bread cooking in it, and a large chest. On the other side there is a small table with a potion brewing stand on it. A few torches were placed on the walls to give the room a comfortable, soft light.
I notice a dark figure standing by the table mixing up a potion. "H-hello?" I croak, it came out quieter than I expected.
The figure stops what they're doing and looks at me. "Oh, you're awake!" The stranger says in a young boyish voice. He goes over to the door. "Elli, she's awake!"
I start to zone out a bit. Moments later Elli walks in. He thanks his young friend before walking over to me and kneeling down by the bed. "How you feeling?"
I snap out of my zone and look at him. "Huh? Oh. Fine, my head feels fuzzy," I try to sit up but I feel a sharp pain shoot through my leg. I let out a pain cry and fall back in bed.
"Careful, your leg still needs to heal," Elli says, "we're short on supplies so we couldn't make a proper healing potion. The best thing to do is to stay off of it for a while."
"Can't you use magic or something." I groan.
He shakes his head. "No one in the village has perfected healing magic," he says, "Ginny here is learning it," Elli gestures to his friend, Ginny, "he's the reason you're not writhing in pain."
"Was it really that bad?" I ask.
Elli and Ginny nod. "Your Tibia bone was fractured." Ginny states, "but no worries you should be able to walk around soon enough. We have a new stock of potion supplies coming in soon."
"Whoa wait slow down!" I say, "What's a Tibia?"
"The larger of the lower leg bones in humans" Ginny says, " the smaller one is called the Fibula and the upper leg bone is called the Femur."
"Okay professor," I say, "I didn't ask for a science lesson on the human skeleton."
Ginny looks offended by what I said. Elli sighs. "He's just trying to help."
I look away. "Sorry..."
Elli lets out a small sigh and stands up. He turns to Ginny. "You have any sticks I can use to make her some crutches or something?"
Ginny gestures to the large chest along the wall. Elli nods and goes over to it. He takes out some sticks and crafts me a crutch I can use to move around with. He turns to Ginny, "go check on our other guest please." Ginny nods and runs out of the small cabin.
I slowly sit up in bed, cringing at the pain on my leg. Elli walks over with the crutch. He helps me stand up and balance with the crutch under my arm. "Thanks." I mutter, not looking at him. He helps me walk out of the cabin.
I look around at the small village. There is a well sized garden for crops and a grassy area in the center with a small fountain. homes are small and wooden but able to suffice.
The village is inhabited with small Ender creatures, or as Elli told me, Farlanders. They were all dark just like Endermen. Their eyes were all sorts of colors ranging from the typical violet to a florescent green.
"Wow..." I say in slight amazement, "this place is actually pretty nice." I notice that every building has a torch like thing in front of it. "What are those?" I ask, pointing to one of the torch things.
