The boy with the golden curls and piercing blue eyes stood opposite me. He came into work everyday. He ordered the same thing every time, so predictable. A double shot espresso. I knew who he was; Jamie Campbell Bower. The hot actor playing Jace in The Mortal Instruments. I had to admit, when he was first cast in the male lead, I was a little disappointed. He didn't really resemble how I'd pictured Jace in the books. "Ah, yes. Can I please have the usual, thanks" the familiar voice chimed, snapping me out of my daze. "Yeah sure," I replied grabbing frantically for a cup. I must've looked like a real idiot. "You know, I come in here everyday and you're always the one who serves me. Why is that?" The beautiful man asked, leaning against the counter. "Fate I suppose. Why do you always order the same thing?" I asked, forcing a nervous laugh. Luckily he laughed too. "Habit I suppose. Why don't we exchange numbers and continue this conversation later. You're cute, I'm even cuter, and I'm single," he said winking. I could feel myself blushing. "Ah yeah, sure," I replied fumbling in my pocket for my phone. I couldn't believe that Jamie Campbell Bower was asking me for my number. Spending all my spare time working had all of a sudden paid off in more ways than one. How great.
"Hey Aimee! Guess what!?" I exclaimed as I walked through the door. I knew she'd never guess, and she'd never believe me. "What!?" She called back. She was in her bedroom on Twitter. I wasn't surprised. "I got Jamie Campbell Bower's number today," I told her, a grin spreading right across my face. "What ever," she replied, turning to face me. I showed her my phone. "I bet you're making that up," she said laughing. I shook my head, "would I lie too you?" I asked. She nodded, "Of course you would." With that, my phone rang. It was Jamie. My stomach was suddenly tied in knots. "Are you gonna answer it?" Aimee asked, looking to see who it was. I hit the answer button. "Hello, Laura speaking," my voice was shaking and my heart was beating ten thousand times faster than it should've been. "Hello, this is Jamie," he replied, his voice was just as gorgeous over the phone as it was in person.
I lay awake, tossing and turning. The whole day seemed like a dream and I didn't want sleep just in case I woke up to find that none of this was real. But sleep came to me and sooner than I knew it, I was asleep and dreaming of the boy with the golden curls and the piercing blue eyes. He was so beautiful and he knew it too. I hoped he'd come in to work in the morning just so I could see his face. I missed him already and we weren't even a couple. But this was nothing new. I missed him before we even met. Maybe I was only in love with who I thought I he was. But maybe he'd prove that the person he was in interviews was who he really was, because that's the person I'd fallen in love with.
