Still Holding On: A JuliElmo FanFiction

First and foremost, thank you for reading this. To the readers of Keep Holding On, this is for you! :) You've all been really nice and you've been asking me to continue KHO. So here's the sequel. I hope you give it the same support you've given KHO

“Time to clean up your mess.” Pia said as she paced back and forth in front of Julie and Elmo. They were still shy of being affectionate with one another in front of their families. That was why they were both sitting at opposite ends of the couch.

“Mom, we just want to be honest and answer their questions as truthfully as we can.” Elmo said.

“I know, son. But we have to make sure that you say the right things. The public might imply something different.”

“Like what? Julie being pregnant? Secret wedding? What could they possibly throw at us that we wouldn’t be able to answer in the right way?”

“I don’t know. Just think before you speak, okay? Julie, are you ready?”

            “Yes, tita.” Julie answered as she stood up. Elmo stood up as well and took hold of her hand and guided her towards a door that led to the stage. They were invited to appear on a showbiz news show. The couple stood hand in hand facing the door. They both took a deep breath and whispered a silent prayer. Elmo kissed her hand and after taking one look at Julie, he opened the door. They let go of each other and walked toward the center where there was a couch.

“Welcome back, JuliElmo.” Jennylyn, the host, greeted. They greeted her and they both took their seats. “Hindi na ako magpapaligoyligoy pa, Elmo bakit mo ba sinama si Julie sa States?”

“Sinama ko po siya kasi Julie is the most hardworking person I know and I knew that she deserved to have that vacation and I knew that she also needed a break.”

“Ang tagal naman ng vacation niyo! 5 months! Did you plan to take that long?”

“Kasi po, we didn’t have any other commitments naman for those months so we decided to make the most of our free time nalang.” Julie answered.

“Just the two of you?”

“We asked our families to come with us, but they said no.” Elmo answered.

“They allowed you to go even without them?”

“No, they didn’t.”

“So you left without permission?”

“Technically, we did.”

“So nagtanan nga kayo.” Jennylyn teased.

Elmo laughed a bit and answered, “We left without permission but we did inform them.”

“Okay, okay, so I think everyone’s been dying to know, while in the States, wala bang namuong pagiibigan?”

            Julie’s eyes widened, she glanced at Elmo who was already staring at her. She knew that he was waiting for her to give him the okay. She smiled at him and nodded.

“Sasabihin ko na?” Elmo whispered.

“Oo…” Julie answered him quietly.

“Sasabihin ko na?” Elmo asked, this time in a much louder voice. Making the fans go crazy.

“Oo na nga!” Julie said with a big smile on her face.

            Elmo laughed and the fans all screamed. Elmo held Julie’s hand. Julie intertwined their fingers together. Elmo took a deep breath.

“Kami na po ni Julie. Girlfriend ko na si Miss Julie Anne San Jose.”

“O, ayan na! Inamin na ni Elmo na sila na ni Julie. And the crowd goes wild! Julie, gaano na kayo katagal ni Elmo?”

“Three months?”

“Three months? Wow. Well, good luck sa inyong dalawa. Thank you for being here with us today. Congratulations, JuliElmo.” Jennylyn ended. She stood up and gave Julie a bouquet of flowers. She shook the couple’s hands and they bid farewell.
