Chapter 21: I don't like twins?!

"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" I asked shaking my head.

Jackson gave me a weird look. "Her name's Naomi." He repeated slowly.

"That's what I thought you said." That's what I forgot. Naomi was coming today. Well, she was already here.....

The thought that Peyton didn't tell me about his sister came back to me. Why didn't he tell me? Then my mind went to Aiden. He knew Naomi was coming. I wonder how he feels about all of this.

"Marshmallow!" Jackson plucked me on my nose.

"Ow. What was that for?" I asked Jay.

"You zoned out. Come on, we're gonna be late for homeroom."

"Okay, let me go to my locker first. I'll meet you in there." He nodded his head as we both went our separate ways. As I approached my locker, I saw Peyton leaning against it with the girl I just saw a few minutes ago; Naomi.

When Peyton spotted me, he grinned. "Hey, doll. I have a surprise for you." I raised my eyebrows at him. "This is my twin sister, Naomi."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Twin sister? I didn't know they were twins. Where has she been for like the past two years anyway?

Naomi smiled at me and put her hand out. "It's nice to finally meet you. Peyton's told me a lot about you."

I shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Corey. I had no idea Peyton had a sister."

She shook her head. "He doesn't like people knowing that there's another half to him. He's just jealous that I'm like, 90 seconds older than him."

I chuckled and looked over at Peyton. He was looking behind me at something before returning his gaze back to us. I ignored that.

"So I heard you guys are coming camping this week, mind if I tag along?"

Peyton shook his head. "Absolutely not. I don't want to be forced to spend time with you."

"Shut up." Naomi glared at him. "You know you miss me." I laughed at both of them. In a way, they were sort of like me and Jessie.

"I think we should invite her. She's seems really cool." Naomi smiled and then hit her brother on the shoulder.

"See, Corey wants me there. So it's final. I'll be joining you guys." Peyton rolled his eyes at her and then turned to me.

"Is it okay if I spend the day with Naomi. I really missed her and we have a lot of catching up to do." Peyton said gently as he stroked my hair.

"Yeah, it's fine." I smiled at him. It's pretty cute how close they are.

Peyton gave me a sad expression. "I promise I'll make it up to you later, okay?" He then wrapped me in a hug.

"Peyton, it's okay. Really." He let me go and surprised me when his lips met mine. I responded back to him and felt him smile against my lips. He pulled away and smiled at me.

"You're amazing." I blushed and looked to the ground before he walked away with Naomi.

I couldn't even describe how I was feeling. Peyton made me feel warm and happy. He was insanely sweet and sensitive. Really I could go on and on about him.
