A95
It’s been almost a year since E95 escaped, and since then, I have been treated even worse. But this won’t last for long, I already found a way to get out, but I can’t do it alone.
I am escorted by a entire two squads of guards, all with guns pointed at me, to Dr. Johnson’s lab. When I enter, he tells the guards to wait outside the door. He holds up my notepad, which has detailed plans to escape, “You’re determined to leave, aren’t you? Well, you want out, I can help you there, just three conditions. One, you get me, my assistant, and an important package out of here with you. Two, you head to blue base once we get out, and three, you kill as many guards as you can on the way to the pelican. Deal?”
I Look him over, “You’re kidding. First, I don’t have a weapon. Second, my armor’s in lockup. And third, if I get out, I go wherever I want.”
He tosses me an assault rifle, and points at the glass case, which holds my armor. Great.
“Linda’s already by the pelican, but she can’t start it until we get there. Also, the package, she is already in your suit…” “Yes, and I must say it’s quite advanced.” a synthetic female voice cuts in.
I bust the glass around my armor, “And who the hell are you?” She responds swiftly, “I am Ai-23, commonly called SARA.” I let out a slight laugh, “And what makes you think I won’t take this armor and leave you high and dry doc?”
He points at the door, “About eight guards right outside the door, and SARA can lock your suit.”
I start pulling the black suit on, “Once we reach the pelican, they’ll just shoot us out of the sky, you know that right?” Johnson walks up behind me, putting the back of my armor on my shoulders. “SARA has uploaded a virus to their software, the turrets are totally useless.” With all but the helmet of my armor on, I click the safety on the rifle, “Then let’s go.”
I pull my helmet on just as the door opens. Two guards stepping into the doorway, bad mistake on their part. I drop them both with just a single bullet to the head each, the rest of the guards storming the entry. All being gunned down quickly.
We run out the door, no more guards on either side. My HUD displays to go left. I follow the marker until I reach the hanger door.
Johnson pounds his fist on the metal, “Sara, override this lock, now.”
With a bit of worry in her voice, “Can’t there’s another Ai in the system.” I ready my fist, “No problem.”
The impact sounds like an explosion, but the door caves easily under my strength. I sprint to the pelican, ignoring the security team firing at me. Jump into the pilot’s seat, the engines roaring to life.
Johnson climbs into the back with Linda., just as the bay door deals.
I throw the engines into full power, turning to the entrance of the hanger. Two security guards are shooting at us, but their bullets might as well be rocks.
When we clear the hanger, Johnson lets out a cheer, “Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!” Linda is too busy laughing to say anything. Dr. Johnson walks into the cockpit, “SARA, upload the coordinates for blue…” “Already done sir, ETA is about five hours.”
I set the pelican on autopilot, and go to the bay. Upon searching, I find some med packs, grenades, twelve clips for my assault rifle, a magnum, and a list of Amanti’s pass codes.
“Johnson, why don’t you take a seat, we’re going to be here for awhile.” Linda says randomly. Johnson looks worried, but takes a seat opposite of her.
