"Did you see that?!"

"Yes Shay I saw it..."

"She did it again! Ah she's a brillantt las" Shay cooed to his daughter, her little hands reaching up as she gurgled and squealed, her little toothless smile spread across her chubby baby cheeks. "She's smiled before honey...." I chuckled, sitting at the foot of our bed reading a book I've been meaning to get to. "But she's never smiled st me like this!" Shay said, his coat and belts were tossed across the bed, leaving him in his shirt and pants. He smiled at our baby girl Dawn, her curly baby hair was a mess from her nap and she was squealing and giggling little baby giggles. I chuckled as Shay lifted her up and held her, cooing at her and making little sounds to make her happy.

"She's going to be a beauty" he said, smiling as he hosted her up into the air, grinning from ear to ear as he looked up at his child. He chuckled softly when she giggled, her little baby arms waving down toward his face. "Just like her mum" he added, grinnign as he looked towards me. I smiled, and in return Shay smiled right back at me.

"She'll be popular with the boys that's for sure" I said, making that smile on Shays face melt into a frown. "Orrrrr" he said, looking at our child. "You'll grow up to put work before boys" he said with a smirk. "Shay-" I began but he shook his head. He knew what j was gonna say. I knew what k was gonna say.

Shay and I had this...argument of sorts a few nights before. He had been talking about how he would show our daughter the world through the Templar eyes when she was old enough. But me, being a mother, had said that she should chose what she wanted and not have it forced upon her. He said that it would be great experience and how it would protect her and blah blah. I had said how dangerous it would be, since Templars are targeted by the Assassin's and the last thing I wanted was to see my daughter die before me. I wouldn't stand for it.

Well the argument was worse then I had thought, unfortunately. Our little bundle of joy had woken up from Shay's loud yelling, I gave him the silent treatment for a while. But he eventually brushed the argument aside. Acting as if it didn't happen which I understand but we had to talk about it. Sooner or later.

"I bet" he said, getting to his feet with her in his arms. "I bet she's gonna be as determined as mommy when she learns to walk" he said, smiling down at me while he bounced her gently. She giggled, reaching out to grab onto a lock of his hair. "Or as reckless as daddy" I said, giggling when Shay pouted. "I'm not reckless. I'm adventurous" he argued, smiling when she grabbed onto his ear and giggled again.

Shay walked towards the sun lit window, smiling as he cooed and made funny faces at his daughter. I watched from where I sat, smiling as the sun engulfed the two things I loved so dearly.

"Look at mommy love, look at how pretty she is eh?" He whispered, his eyes trailing to mine. A smile gracing his face.

My little bundle of joy.
