I bit my lip "Yes."

He once again scooped me up into a big bear hug and placed a sloppy wet kiss on my cheek.

"Ew! Brayden! You're gross!" I shrieked

He chuckled "You know you like it." He said seductively as he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me tight.

"Brayden. Let me go."

He pretended to think about it but said "No." While grinning from ear to ear as he pulled me even closer.

I considered struggling but figured it was no use so I just gave up as he kissed my neck.

"The pancakes are burning." I said

"Hmm?" He mumbled, still kissing up my neck.

"The pancakes. They're burning."

He swore under his breath as he quickly let me go and ran to the stove.

"Haha! Now I'm free!" I said, sticking my tongue out at him and running out of the kitchen laughing.

"Just you wait! I'll get you back after breakfast!" He shouted after me.

"Hey Kason. Watcha up to?" I asked.

"Sponge bob!" He said pointing at the TV.

Laughing, I turned the TV on and flipped it to what he wanted. Sponge bob I sat down on the couch just as Brayden hollered my name.

"Yeah?" I shouted back.

"Boo." He whispered.

I jumped. "I hate you Brayden."

"No you don't." He said, standing back up, "you love me." He ruffled my hair and took off running to the kitchen.

"Chicken!" I yelled.

"Come eat!" Brayden yelled back.

I got up and went into the kitchen. Just as I rounded the corner I ran into Brayden. He started laughing at my startled reaction so I punched him in the gut.

"Ow!" he said, rubbing his stomach, "What was that for?"

I just smirked as I walked around him and sat down at the table to eat.

“Wow Brayden! This is good!” I said, taking another bite of food.

“Forgot how good of a cook I am?” He replied, smiling smugly.

I burst out laughing.

“What?!” He exclaimed.

“You? A good cook? Ha!” I replied.

“Oh shut up and finish your food.” He said, getting up and punching my arm.

“Ow! That hurt!” I said, faking a hurt look.

“Yeah right. You're faking.”

“Am not!” I protested

“You're smiling. Plus, you rubbed your left arm. I hit your right arm.” He said, giving me one of those 'I'm not as stupid as you think I am' looks.

“Just go away.” I said waving him off with my hand as I took another bite. He walked away laughing.

“Okay, but you have to clean the kitchen!” He said, once he was in the living room.

Sometimes I really wanted to ring his neck. Resisting the urge, I got up and cleaned the kitchen.

“I'm going to take a shower.” I called, walking past the couch where Brayden and Kason were seated.

“Alone.” I said as Brayden started to follow me.

“It was worth a shot...” He mumbled, stomping back to the couch with his head hung low.

I pulled on a tank top and shorts and tied my hair up into a pony tail after my shower.

“Hey sexy thing.” Brayden said, grabbing me by the waist once I walked out the bathroom.

“Brayden! Let me go.” I said, struggling against his grasp.

He just chuckled as he kissed the side of my neck. I tried to push him away but my attempts were proven useless. It was time for plan B.

“Kara?! Are you okay?!” He said as I went limp and faked unconsciousness.

“Kara?! Can you hear me?!” He yelled again, laying me down on the bed. I immediately opened my eyes and jumped off the bed. stumbling into Kason. We fell to the ground and I started laughing hysterically as I rolled off him.

“What the hell was that?!” Brayden yelled, worry and anger crossing his face as he stood up. I stopped laughing.

“Plan B.” I said. He held out his hand. I smiled smugly, my plan had worked, well, nearly worked. I took his hand and stood up.

“Plan B?” He asked.

“Yes,” I replied, “You wouldn't let me go.”

“Kara you scared me to death.”

“Really? 'Cause to me you look like you're still alive.” I gasped. “No. Way.”

“What?” He asked, clearly annoyed.

“You're a... a... a VAMPIRE!!” I shouted, a huge ecstatic smile spreading across my face. “Do you sparkle in the sun?!”

He shook his head. “You watch way too much twilight Kara.” He turned and walked out of the room.

“Brayden! Come on! Take a joke!” I hollered after him. “Bra- Oof!” I continued, running into him as I ran out the bedroom door. “You really need to stop that.”

He held back laughter. “You should have seen your FACE!!” He said, laughing like a madman.

I slapped him on the arm. “You're a jerk!”

“Hypocrite.” He replied, after calming down.

I brushed him off and went back downstairs. “Hey Kason.” I said, walking into the living room “Kason?” The TV was on, but Kason was nowhere in sight.

“Brayden. Where's Kason?” I asked, walking back to the stairs.

“He's in the living room watching TV.”

“No. He isn't.” I said

“What?” Brayden asked.

“He's not there!” I said

Brayden pushed me out of the way and ran into the living room yelling for Kason. I turned around and ran into the kitchen. And that's when I saw it.
