Chapter 5

A couple minutes have passed. Anna feels stupid for thinking a guy like him could text back. She puts her phone down and makes popcorn so she can watch a movie. Her phone dings and when she checks it she sees it's him. Anna smiles and reads the text, "hey beautiful" she blushes
"What are you doing?"
"Sitting here watching TV, it's so boring"
She giggles, "yeah it is, I was just about to watch a movie"
"What movie?"
"Charlie St. Cloud"
"I heard of that movie before"
"I love that movie"
"Maybe we should get together sometime and watch it?"
She blushes hard, "that sounds great"
They text for hours and eventually Anna forgets about the movie. They talked about the passion they have for art, their hometowns, how it was growing up, deep conversations. Anna could feel a feeling inside of her that just really likes Jeremy. She could do nothing but smile when she seen his messages popping up on her phone screen.
Jeremy asks, "would you like to go to dinner sometime?"
Anna smiles big and get excited, "I'd love too"
"It's a date then"
Anna falls back in her bed and hold her phone close and the smile could not be wiped off her face. She went to bed and woke up around 6:00 and got ready for her classes. She walks in and sits down, Jeremy is there and he smiles.
"Hey beautiful"
She blushes, "hey handsome"
He blushes a bit, "when do you want to go that date?"
"Whenever you're free"
"I'm free tonight"
She smiles, "I'm free tonight too"
"Then tonight it is, I'll grab you paper"
He gets up and she exhales and watches him. She bites her lip a bit and stops when he comes back.
"Here you go darling"
She smiles, "thank you Jerm"
He snorts, "nice nickname"
She gets embarrassed, "sorry, I'm bad at this"
He laughs, "it's okay, I'm only kidding"
She smiles, "good, need any paint?"
"I sketch out in pencil first before anything"
"Oh, that's new to me, I've never did that before"
"Try it" he hands her a pencil
She takes it and starts drawing. He raises his hand and pulls her hair out of her face to see her face better.
"You're so beautiful"
Her face turns red, "you're so flirty"
"I like you, that's why, you're different"
A few hours later Jessica calls her and Anna picks up.
"Hey Anna.."
"Hey Jess"
"I'm sorry about what happened before you left.."
"It's okay, you're my best friend"
"I haven't been a good best friend lately"
"Why do you say that?"
"The stuff before you left..you may never forgive me for this.."
"What's wrong?"
"I had sex with Sam.."
"WHAT?!"
"I'm sorry..I know you really like him"
Anna is furious and then she calms down and realizes.
"You have been a shitty friend. But I don't care about Sam, I found someone else. Have Sam. I also want you to delete this number too. I don't want to be in contact with you anymore. Fuck you Jess"
Anna hangs up.
