It was already two hours into the trip with only one more hour of driving left.
Apparently I packed less food than I though I did, because my stomach could drop it's own mix tape with all it's gargling noises.
"Geez did you eat anything today!?" Cameron wondered, giving me an 'are you even ok' look.
I was too busy staring at the In n Out to realize he asked a question. "Wait what?"
Cameron laughs. "I think you need a Snicker's. You're not you when you're hungry."
He hands me a Snicker's bar and I quickly snatch it, devouring it in seconds. "This is so good that I'm just going to ignore the fact you quoted a commercial." I say.
Truthfully, the only reason why I was so hungry was because I refused to eat the crappy school lunch. I would pack my own lunch, but then again I would be wayy to lazy to do that every morning.
"How about we stop at 7/11 before you go crazy." Cameron laughs, pulling up into the parking lot.
I hop out the car and Cameron grabs my hands as we walk into the 7/11.
"What should would we get, Mads?" He asks, looking around the place aimlessly.
I shrug, eyeing a bag of Sour Patch Kids.
I've been trying (and failing) on trying to maintain a diet for a while now and considering how I was going to be living on a bus for the next few months, I figured healthy food really wouldn't be that much of an option anyway.
We keep walking around and throwing random things in our basket.
"Ooh!" I shriek, throwing in 4 bags of mini Snickers.
Cameron laughs. "You have an addiction."
"I know." I reply proudly.
"What if I challenged you to not eat Snickers on the entire tour- and I'll give you all of my sweaters."
"No way!" I quickly respond. I loved Cameron's sweaters like trust me, they were comfy, but I loved the chocolaty-ness of Snickers more.
That's when suddenly I hear a loud shriek from across the isle. Two teenage girls that look about thirteen come charging toward our direction.
They definitely had to be one of his fans.
I look down at me and Cameron's hands, quickly pulling mine apart as they approach. I had to remember that technically, me and Cameron weren't dating to the public.
Deciding to act casual, I pretend to be concentrated at the nutritional facts on the back of a of Lays potato chips bag.
"Omg, Cameron!" The short brunette shrieks, giddy with joy as she jumps up and down along with her friend.
Cameron simply gives them a smile, saying hey back.
"He looks so much hotter in real life!" Her blonde friend gushes.
Cameron laughs. "Nice to meet you guys, do you want a picture?"
"Uh yes!" They say at the same time.
The brunette takes out her iPhone 5s and the blonde takes out her iPhone 6, and they take turns taking selfies with their ridiculously large selfie sticks.
"Thank you soooo much," the blonde friend says, shyly waving goodbye after her and her buddy hug Cameron and finish off their pictures.
I look up from the Lay's potato chip bag as they walk away.
Talk about awkward....
Not to be rude, but I low key wanted to smash those girls phones on the ground and stomp on them a million times.
But low key though...
I would have to start getting used to the fans anyway, since the tour was literally all about meeting fans.
Cameron sees the distant look in my eye and walks over to me, wrapping his arm around me.
"Whatcha thinking about?"
I couldn't tell him the vicious thoughts in my mind, obviously, (I was on my period okay give ya girl a break) so decide to tell him, "nothing."
We finally finish our short stop and continue on our drive to San Francisco.
~
I feel a tap on my shoulder and groan. "What?!" Can a girl not get her beauty sleep??
"Wake up sleepy head," Cameron laughs.
I open my eyes, remembering that I was actually in a car with Cameron - oops - before looking out the window. We were at this warehouse or gathering place, or something like that. You could hear screaming from the front of the building where people were noticeably waiting in a line to get inside - the majority being girls.
In fact, they were literally all girls.
"Is this the meet and greet place?" I ask, looking around curiously.
He nods, driving behind the building where the back entrance was.
He parks, looking over to me with a serious look. "Okay, here's what we have to do." He starts, placing his hands on the wheel as if to brace himself. "As soon as we get out of this car, Mads, you have to sprint as fast as you can to that door right there," he points. "Don't look back, because there could be fans hanging around this place and I can't risk getting mobbed, and you can't risk getting seen."
"Got it," I say, checking to make sure my phone was secure in my back pocket.
"Okay. In 3, 2, 1. Go!"
We both open our doors and quickly shut them, not waiting for a second before we begin to sprint to the back door. I hear screams of fans behind me, but I don't look back and as soon as I know it, we're already inside.
There's two guards waiting and they automatically recognize Cameron, signaling for him to follow them. It's when they notice me that they freeze.
"Who is this?" They ask sternly, eyeing me up and down like I was intruding or something.
I, on the other hand, was hunched over, breathing heavily as I tried to catch my breath.

I could only imagine how unattractive I looked at the moment...
I've never been the athletic type like, at all, and that little sprint was seriously testing my asthma.
"She's with me," Cameron tells them, and they lead us down this narrow pathway.
"You OK?" Cameron whispers, looking over to me worriedly.
I was still panting and sweat was dripping off my forehead.
Not a very cute mental picture.
"I think so," I reassure, noticing how my breaths were becoming steady again.
We wind up stopping in front of this door that read 'backstage'.
"Here you guys go," the first guard announces.
"The other boys are getting ready inside," the second guard says.
It's when we enter that the real chaos is revealed.
