Authors Note: WHAT THE TOUR BUS LOOKS LIKE ABOVE ok bye enjoy
"You have to call her," Cameron says, shutting the trunk door.
The San Francisco show was finally over, and I had made up my mind about the tour. I decided to come along, but only for the sake of my and Cameron's relationship.
It wasn't only for the fact that they were touring the US, but also Europe as well.
I didn't even have to think twice about it before I told Cameron my decision. Now though, I had my Mom to deal with and I still hadn't thought of a plausible explanation to tell her. Either way, she would still be angry with me no matter what I said.
I grab my luggage and roll it, as me and Cameron make our way to the tour bus parked in the parking lot.
"It's harder than it may seem to just call up your mother and say, 'oh hey by the way I'm not coming home until I graduate high school oh and plus I'll be staying with my twenty-one year old boyfriend that you don't know exists for the time being, hope you're okay with it'!" I say sarcastically.
Cameron holds up his hands in the air in defense. "Okay, okay. But I don't want her to hate me for you making the decision. I mean after the tour, she's going to have to meet me eventually and I want to have her best interest at heart."
I throw Cameron a scowl. "This isn't about you Cameron. For once can you understand my side of the scale. You don't have to worry about your future at the moment because you already have your path figured out. Me, on the other hand, I don't even know what I want to do after I graduate!"
He stops walking, looking to me with a frown. His face makes me realize the harshness of my words and I look away. "If that's how you feel than why did you come to begin with?" He asks.
"Cameron, I," I start, but he keeps walking and gets on the bus before me.
I sigh, dragging my heavy luggage and lifting it onto the bus. A girl with auburn frizzy hair is there to meet me and flashes a smile.
"Hey, you're Cam's cousin right?"
The mention of Cameron makes me squirm. "Um, yeah. I'm Madison." I say, my social awkwardness definitely shining through.
"Cool. I'm Mahogany- your new roomie. Let me show you our bunks," she requests, and leads the way.
The bus basically consisted of some type of living space in the middle with couches and a table, and a decent sized mini kitchen on the left. Then there was a door on either side of the living room and Mahogany lead me to the left one.
Inside were two bunks built into the wall and a little ladder on the side to climb up to the top bunk. There were mini TVs attached to the wall inside each of the bunks, and another door opposite the entrance that I assumed was the bathroom we were sharing.
"Here's our 'room'," she says, gesturing to the space. It was a little tight to what I was used to, but I could manage.
There were built in cabinets to the wall opposite the beds, so I started unpacking, stuffing what I could in the cabinets. This wasn't home where I had to worry about my Mom bickering at me to fold my clothes, so I just threw things in.
"Oh, you don't actually have unpack," Mahogany laughs, stopping me mid way on throwing in another shirt. "The bus is for traveling. Once we get to a city for a show, the bus drops us off at a hotel and we unpack there. Then once the show's over, we get our things and come back on the bus again until we get to the next city."
