I feel eyes on me as I dance with Janet. I know she is watching me, I've known since I first got here. I turn my head to see Taj and my...bully? Crush? Whatever she is, talking. Whatever they are talking about looks pretty intense. Soon Taraji comes over and dances with and Beyonce goes inside.
"Who you looking for boo?" Janet asks me while Taraji smirks at me knowingly.
"Um no one... I'm have to use the bathroom I'll be back" I rush of quickly before they can respond.
I walk through the crowded halls, smelling of a strong mixture of smoke, weed, and alcohol. My nose turn up at the smell making me feel like I have to gag. I rush through the packed house until I reach the empty hallway. Suddenly a hand reaches out and I am dragged into a room. I scream out until a hand is over my mouth and a familiar body presses me into the wall.
"You've been avoiding me Tone" Beyonce whispers in her ear making a shudder pass through her.
Toni pushes her away, but since they are in a small bathroom she only moves back slightly, still evading her personal space "you scared the hell out of me, and what are you talking about?" Toni asks taking calming breaths.
I am suddenly pushed back onto the wall and come face to face with a angry, confused, and something else in her eyes that I can't name, Beyonce. I momentarily stop breathing because of our close proximity. What is she doing? What I'm I doing? Why do I want it to go further?
"Ever since I kissed you, you haven't looked, spoke, or wanted to be near me" she says, eyes now filled with sadness.
I scoff at her acting indifferent even as her cool breath skims my neck "you act like that is a new thing Bey, when hadn't I avoided you? I mean...you do bully me."
