Katie's pov:

"Katie! Katie! Get your ass out of the car!" A deep, scratchy voice shouts from the drivers seat as the car abruptly stops.

I wake up quickly and look at my stepfather. He was tall and had a slight beard, eyes that could burn holes through you. But he had a pretty fit body, which is surprising because of how much he drinks.

"Sorry sir." I climb out and grab my bags before turning and looking at my new house.

It was a big old house, recently renovated to look newer and so it wouldn't collapse on us.

I sigh and carry my bags inside before my stepdad comes in with his bags and the car keys.

"Your room is the attic. We already have all your stuff you just need to unpack." I nod and go upstairs slowly, not caring how long it took. I didn't want to be here and my stepdad knew it.

I look at the door that lead to the attic. It was a big Wooden door with an old doorknob that locked with a key from the inside and out "This place doesnt feel right." I whisper to myself before opening the door to reveal what I was guessing was around 15 steps that lead up into a big spacious room I was going to soon make my humble abode and safe haven.

After about 3 hours I had most of my stuff unpacked and everything where I wanted it for now and I lay on my bed tiredly.

I look at the big circular window above the queen sized bed I had to build and smile slightly. 'Finally. One good thing about this place.' I think to myself and yawn tiredly.

It was around 10 at night and the moon was shining through the window, making a circle of light around the bed perfectly, as if it was some sort of barrier to keep me safe.

I slide my baggy shirt and skinny jeans off, leaving me in my undergarments. I crawl under the black with red striped satin blankets and as soon as I lay my head on the soft pillow I instantly fall asleep.

"Katie. Katie. Come find me. Join me." A soft melodic voice awakens me and I sit up quickly in bed and look around at my almost dark room.

The full moon was shining in through the window revealing shadows all over the walls and in the shadows like there were real people. And the shadow people were moving, and whispering MY name over and over again, slowly getting closer to my  king sized bed and the circle of moonlight around it.
