Kusakabe Shuichi (Matsumoto Jun)
Elder brother of Shuji and childhood friends with Nagi. He had always believed that he and Nagi had their own secret world together when they were younger. Nagi would often tell him secrets and he sees it in a way that she is showing him a side of her which no one else knows. Still, he had his own doubts and insecurities especially towards the closeness of his brother to her and it becomes the reason why he never confessed to her. He started going out with a girl classmate who always liked in order to forget his feelings and eventually got married and had a daughter. In the present, he works in a clothing store which leads to his and Nagi's encounter again.

Kusakabe Shuji (Higashide Masahiro)
Influenced by the teasing of both families, Shuji developed a special bond with his childhood friend, Nishioka Nagi, and being classmates with her in the same school, turned into puppy love later on. Shuji, although popular for his good looks and activeness in school, lacks confidence and is naturally shy. Nagi often encourages and cheers on him so he considered her his "first love" but his lack of confidence still made him hesitant. Unable to confess, he becomes a bit frustrated and Rina, a girl who desperately wants him, comes to comfort him... and gets pregnant by him unintentionally. Feeling responsible, he marries her and starts a family, hoping he will forget about Nagi. Meeting her again after several years, he thinks he has moved on and can finally accept the friendly relationship with her but the more they encounter coincidentally, he starts to waver and realizes he has not totally given up his feelings for her.

Nishioka Takashi (Suzuki Tatsuhisa)
Often called "Taka" for short. It was really hard to hide his feelings towards Nagi because it would have been considered abnormal... but it was not. For the people, they saw Nagi and Taka as siblings but he knew they were not related. Not a single drop of the same blood ran in their veins. Taka was adopted yet he and Nagi had a very close sibling relationship but what Nagi didn't know, ever since she was little and growing up, Taka had loved her secretly and had always looked after her but he could never admit it to her for the fear that their parents might separate them.
