Grunting in pain, I finally moved the packed box to the side of my room where all the boxes had been kept. I collapsed on the neatly wrapped sofa and sighed in relief. We all chose black tank tops and black yoga pants hoping that we'd work like ninjas. Guess we were wrong to think that."Tell me again why we are slaving around instead of enjoying the weekend," Ruhi muttered, dumping my hair accessories into a bag.
She was woman handling my things. There was no telling what she would do if I asked her to be careful with my things. So, I let it go.
"Yeah, tell us." Neena wiped the cream from her hand which had miraculously spilled on her black top.
"Because you love me," I crooned, letting them cool off for a bit.
"Right." Anisha snorted. "We didn't know that we had to work to prove our love. Besides, where is your sister? Shouldn't she prove her love?"
"Yeah, where is Kajal? Looks like she is not here." Ruhi looked at me for confirmation.
"I gave her two options. Either work here or go on a date with Neel. She chose the latter," I answered, still not believing that she went willingly.
"Smart girl. At least, she gets to enjoy the weekend," Neena grumbled, shooting me a depressed look.
"I asked for a video, photos, and bills as proof," I declared, making them shoot me a disbelieving look.
"You don't believe that she wants to talk to Neel," Anisha stated the facts.
I shrugged. "Yes, I don't know if she said to escape the work. Also, the faster she agrees to marry Neel, the better for me."
Well, that meant no more interactions with Vihar. That was why I initiated this plan. Besides, I had to concentrate on something other than Vihar. Otherwise, I'd commit murder. So, I insisted that I'd pack everything. My parents didn't question me and left. Neel would take my sister to my new house. I'd ask Sameer to drop me off later.
"Come on. Tell us what's on your mind," Anisha said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
I wanted to shout that Vihar was on my mind, but I didn't. I couldn't pretend that nothing happened, but I didn't want them to know anything too.
"Let us finish this. We'll be there." Ruhi and Neena made sure that everything was packed and neatly placed on the floor.
"Okay, we are ready."
They both sat on the floor facing us. I released a breath and started talking. When I finished the total story, they were looking at me with mouths wide opened. I accidentally slipped that Vihar was going to join hands with Raj.
That was an acceptable reaction. I feared that they'd screech and scold me.
Finally, Ruhi opened her mouth. "Aren't you a volunteer for some save-food campaign? You shouldn't waste it even though he deserved it." She clucked her tongue.
"Yeah, tell me about it. I lost my brain temporarily because Vihar was with me. I wanted to kill him but ended up damaging Raj's pride. Isn't that a good thing? Vihar is still alive." I smiled reluctantly, making them shake their heads simultaneously.
"When you put it that way, it seems right. Well, he deserved it. I would have dumped Nitrogen dioxide though," Neena seethed, balling her elegant fingers into a fist.
"Isn't that an acid?" Ruhi questioned, directing a nervous glance toward Neena. I could tell that she was afraid that Neena would perform that horrendous task.
"Really? I thought it was a base. Okay, I'll think about something else then." She shrugged and placed her pointed finger under her chin thoughtfully.
