My legs ached.

I should have never insisted that I would walk to this place as a form of exercise from the bus stop. Having understood that, I looked around only to find that the street was buzzing with vehicles as it was the prime time. I didn't understand why they had to choose a restaurant which was far from my office. Skimming through the high-class boutiques and gift shops, I finally found the reason I was here, shining brightly at the top of the towered private building at the dead end of the street, attracting the attention of people who otherwise walked like they had no care in this world.

The restaurant was situated in Banjara Hills, an urban commercial center in Hyderabad, and I was late by another ten minutes adding up to the already one hour because of the traffic. I braced myself for the disapproving looks from my parents and a helpless look from my sister wondering why I didn't go with them in the first place. The reason was that I didn't like this arrangement, but I couldn't contradict because it was related to my sister and I had no say in this according to my parents. I later realized that I couldn't give up like that, and therefore here I was on a mission to stop this disaster.

Reaching the restaurant, I took a much-needed breath and pushed the handle of the door wondering what happened to the guards who used to stand and watch like hawks. I tried and tried, but it didn't budge. I pulled the door thinking that I should have pushed it instead, but my efforts were futile.

"You have got to be kidding me."

I didn't come all the way here to go back, just because the door didn't allow me to enter. That would be a ridiculous reason to make my parents believe that what I was saying is true. I looked around to see if anyone had witnessed my struggle with the door, but luckily no one noticed. I sighed in relief but didn't believe my luck and looked around carefully this time only to see that a couple was heading this way.

Smoothing down my white colored top, I waited for them to open the door acting like I was busy searching for something in my handbag. When the guy- who was a gentleman, by the way, opened the door for the girl to pass first, I immediately straightened my back ready to barge inside. Observing that he was still holding the door for me to enter, I relaxed that I didn't have to struggle anymore for the door. I thanked him and stepped inside the restaurant only to notice that the restaurant was up to its name- GRACE. When I turned back, a guard was opening the door to the customers, and I scowled.

My relationship with luck is affected.

The restaurant had marble tiled floor, and the seating arrangement was perfect for a whole family. The inside was as magnificent as the outside, and I admired the indoor plants which provided a relaxed feeling to the customers.

"Can I help you?" a voice asked.

Turning around, I found that he was a waiter here. I racked my brain to locate the name of the guests my father bragged about.

I should have listened to him when he informed.

I chastised myself for not hearing anything my dad said and squinted at the tables to find where my family was seated.

Across the room, Kajal was waving, and I was sure my parents might have already discussed my manners or in this case lack of thereof with the guests. They were seated near the wall, away from the center of the floor. Realizing that I didn't need any help, he wished me to enjoy my meal and went to stand near the entrance.

There were two people at the door now. What happened when I was there?

I trotted towards their table making the scowl on my face prominent. When I saw that the guy seated opposite my sister was watching her, my already sour mood worsened.
