In Olivia's dreams.

I answer the door to see a very well dressed Elliot Stabler.
"Wow, Olivia. You look incredible" he says
"I was thinking the same thing" I say as I grab my purse that matches my black dress from the table by the door.
"Are you ready?" He asks
"As I'll ever be" I answer.

We walk down to Elliot's black jeep. He drives us to the precinct. We pull up outside after long drive. He opens the door and takes my hand as I get out.
"Oh, thank you Mr stabler" I say
"Pleasure Ms Benson" he answers as he leads me into the precinct. We get in the elevator and press the button to our floor. The elevator is empty, bar me and Elliot.
He told me a few weeks ago that he had signed the divorce papers and gave them back to Kathy. He keeps telling me how he is a free man. I didn't think that he would be this happy.
He looks down at me and smiles.
"Tonight is gonna be eventful" he laughs
"Yeah, Finn rapping and Munch dancing. It's gonna be great" I laugh back
He looks deeply into my eyes, as he leans closer towards me, but just as he closes the gap between our lips, the elevator door opens.
"Oh..." He moves away from me. "Erm, shall we?" He asks as he offers his arm for me to link into.
I do so as we walk into the squad room which is decorated with Christmas decorations that are way too old.
"Liv, El. I'm glad you could make it" Cragen greets us.
"Wouldn't miss your annual Christmas party, that we have attended for the past 8 years" Elliot jokes as he nudges me
"You live my parties really! I mean I don't see you complaining about the free beer!" Cragen argues
"That's a good point" he laughs as he guides the two of us to talk to Melinda and Finn who are standing at his desk.
"Olivia. Wow" Finn says
I just laugh a response.
"Hey! Keep your hands to yourself" Elliot says as he pulls me away over to where they are serving drinks.
"Hey! What was that about?" I ask him as he hands me a glass.
"What?" He answers innocently.
"With Finn!"
"Oh, I Erm..."
He was just about to say something when we hear a glass being hit to draw everyone's attention.
"Guys can I have your attention please?" Cragen asks
The room is filled with silence as everyone turns to Cragen.
"I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" he says
"Preach" Finn laughs, because he is totally drunk.
"Yes, thank you Finn, also, I want to congratulate Detective Olivia Benson, on her promotion from second grade, to first grade detective" he says as the room fills with applause and people congratulated get me.
"Well done Liv" Elliot smiles as he hugs me.
"Thanks".........

"Jenna! Put the gun down! Put it down Jenna!" Elliot yells from the opposite side of the squad room.
I continue you apply pressure on Sister Pegs wound.
I can't quite make out what it is, but some how one of the men in our cage is still alive and aggravates Jenna even more, which results in her pointing the gun at him.... The next thing I know there is a single gun shot.

"Liv....Elliot put his papers in" Cragen says with a crack in his voice.
I can barley speak. I feel tears forming in my eyes.
Cragen says some other things to me, but I don't really pay any attention, and just agree with what he is saying. When he is done I walk out of his office.
I brush off Munch's sarcastic comments as I walk to an empty interrogation room.
I cry for all I'm worth. I can't contain how I feel about him anymore. He just left me, without saying goodbye, he left me...
