"Oh" the doctor says with shock.
"For 12 years. We worked together, Erm, we are cops" he explains, "well she still is"
"Oh, and you aren't?"
"No, I Erm.....no" Elliot says, trying not to break down into tears.
He feels a terrible guilt for leaving Olivia, but he wasn't just leaving her, he was leaving his past life.
There is a knock on Olivia's hospital room.
"Come in" she says groggily
"Ms Benson, I have some good news" doctor Meloni says
"Oh joy" she says sarcastically
"Seriously" he says as he moves closer to her.
"What is it?" She asks
"We found a donor. And the blood is compatible with yours, you should be going into surgery in a few days" he explains
"Oh, my god" she sits up straight in her bed. "Who is it?" She asks
"Erm, it was anonymous" he says unsteadily.
"Oh, so you don't know who it is?" She asks
"We do, but he doesn't want to be named"
"Oh, then tell him,thank you" she says with tearing eyes.
