Be Careful

"Raph, I told you to be more careful. Now look at you!"
"Yeah yeah, I know.."

The turtles had gone for another patrol night, but had an interference with Bebop and Rocksteady. As usual, Raphael put his brothers' safety before his own, and ended up getting wounds from head to toe. Serena had offered to patch him up once they got back.

Serena finished wrapping and cleaning up most of the wounds from his legs to his arms. She looked up to his face, inspecting anything that might be there.
What she didn't notice was her face getting a little close for Raph's comfort. A faded blush appeared on his cheeks as their beaks were inches apart.
Serena then reached to the back of Raph's head to untie his mask, but he stopped her by grasping her wrists before she could.

"What are you doing?"

"I need to check for anything that may be under your mask. It's possible you know." Serena explained, managing to untie and take off the red mask. Much at Raphael's dismay. He looked to the ground to avoid eye contact.
Raph didn't particularly like it when his mask was off, even in front of Serena.
Serena noticed this and gave him a small smile.

"Looks just fine. You're good." She assured him in a gentle voice, reaching up and cupping his cheek in her hand.

Raph looked back up at her, just in the right position for Serena to place a gentle yet quick kiss right on his lips before walking out of the lab. Leaving a flustered, but content red clad turtle.
