Is There Something I Can Do?

Once again, set after Season 4, so Serena and Raph aren't in a relationship anymore.

Raphael had just finished a set on his drums while Serena was sitting on his bed, listening to his work.

"How was that?" The red clad turtle asked.

"It was okay, but they're just drums." Serena stated, her arms crossed over her chest. "Now, play a guitar or a piano with those big fingers, then I'm impressed."

"What? You try and play something good on these." Raph retorted, in more of a playful tone than anything. "C'mon, your turn."

"I don't play an instrument.."

"Yes you do. I've heard you sing before."

Serena averted her gaze towards the floor. ".. You know I'm not comfortable singing in front of people."

"It's just me."

Serena looked back up at him, her expression hardening a bit. She did used to sing in front of him, sometimes even for him. But she hasn't since they split apart. "I don't know.. I don't even know what to sing right now." Serena tried to get out of preforming.

"Really? C'mon, you always have some kind of song in mind."

Serena took a deep breath and closed her emerald eyes as a particular, small song came to mind.

'Maybe you're better off with her.
I think she's better for you.
I forgot how great it felt to be us,
Guess I got carried away.
I had to use you to make me feel strong,
But I don't care about that now.
I see a tower built out of my mistakes,

After her song, the two terrapins sat in silence for a while. Serena was the one to stand up and speak. "Well, I should go now.. Brush up on my training a bit."
She didn't give a second glance as she went out the door.

As much as Raph missed that voice, he couldn't help but feel that certain song she sang meant something. Correction, he knew that song meant something. In a way, he did miss having a romantic relationship with Serena. It was his first. She was his first.

Then he thought if there was something he could do to make it up to her.
