Sick Day

Serena was currently lying in her bed with a stuffed nose and a sore throat. Earlier in the week, Serena wasn't doing so good in her normal routine: She was moving slowly around the lair, she was unfocused in her training, and she didn't look her best. After a little check-up, Donnie confirmed that it was just symptoms of a common cold. So Serena was prescribed to stay in her room the last couple of days.
She had her favourite fuzzy blue blanket spread on top of her, and her childhood teddy bear held close to her plastron. There was a half empty glass of water on her bedside table which sat beside some cold relief medication. She had taken some only an hour ago, so her sinuses were clearing up a little bit.
Suddenly, a knock was heard at her door before it was opened a crack and the red clad turtle came in.

"Hey. You doing okay?" Raph asked, even though it was clear she wasn't.

"I'm fine." Serena responded in a raspy voice.

Raph came over and sat on the edge of her bed.

"Are you sure you don't need anything?"

This was the fourth time today he asked that. And every time Serena said that she was fine, even if she wasn't.
Serena hated to be waited on hand and foot. It made her feel like she was taking advantage of the person that was looking out for her, even if she would ask for so little. And Serena liked to be independent and not rely on someone for little things she would do herself, even in this state.

Serena turned over on her side, facing the wall of her bedroom. She then felt a body lay down behind her, an arm wrapping around her waist.

"What are you doing? You'll get sick too."

"Highly unlikely. But I don't care." Raph replied, nuzzling his beak to her neck and leaving a few soft kisses there.

Serena knew there was no getting rid of him, so she just accepted it and tried to fall asleep. Usually when she was sick, it was a bit harder for Serena to really slip into slumber, but it suddenly seemed much easier with the hothead comforting her.
