Jamie's P.O.V.
"Jamie, I heard someone scream into my ear. I groaned and twisted around burying my head into my pillow. "It's Saturday," I moaned.
"No it's Friday and it's time for school."
I instantly got up and out of bed searching for my phone. I looked at the calendar and then sighed in relief. It was Saturday. Angrily I snapped my head to Lexi who just stood there smirking.
I scowled at my best friend then glanced at the time which read 9 am. Who wokes up at 9 am on a Saturday?! Her face based into the pillow that I threw at her.
"I'm suffering as well," Lexi exclaimed. I rose and brow at her and placed my hands on my hips, "your Mum told me to wake you up at 8 am but I thought I should let you sleep for an extra hour."
I rolled my eyes, "why," I asked.
"Because apparently someone is coming over for lunch and you need to help your parents clean the house and prepare lunch," She shrieked. I groaned. Why out of all days did someone had to come to my house?
Reluctantly I walked into the shower and let the hot steamy water hot my olive skin.
After showering I helped tidy up the house with Mum and set up the garden with Dad. I wonder who was coming over.
"You've helped out a lot Jamie, why don't you go upstairs and change? And wear a dress," Mum suggested.
"But-" I tried to rebuttal.
"No buts! I want you to wear the dress that I laid out for you," She exclaimed. She pointed towards the stairs and I scowled stomping up the stairs. I hated wearing dresses. I went upstairs and looked for the dress. My eyes landed on my bed. There laid a beautiful sun dress. I held it in my hands and glanced at it. At least it was my favourite colour; green. The dress hugged my waist perfectly and went outwards at the end.
I put the strapless dress on which fell to my mid thigh and a pair of green flip flops. I decided to let my short curly brown hair out. I applied a think layer of mascara and didn't bother with the eyeliner because I knew I would end up looking like a panda if I tried to apply more make up. I shoved my phone into my bra. Luckily my phone didn't stick out. It just made my chest bigger than its average B size.
I looked at my reflection and sorted my appearance out until I was satisfied that I looked 'decent'.
Starting from now I was going to become more confident and I wasn't going to go after Damon. There was no point. Today was the day I was going to get rid of Damon from my heart; I would erase everything I loved about him and fill it with other cute guys that Lexi was going to try and 'hook' me up with.
I skipped down the stairs and walked into the living room to see Rachel and Jerome greeting my Mum whilst my Dad was saying something to Damon. Dad patted his back and grinned at Damon who sent him a genuine smile. I tried not to blush red because of Damon's presence.
"Where is Jamie," Rachel asked my parents.
"She's just-"
"I'm here," I announced, suddenly becoming timid and shy. Rachel beamed at me and instantly engulfed me into a hug. I hugged her back, trying not to faint because of the tight grip she had around my pancreas.
