Nani is home from rehab & Macabre is due to deliver her baby any day now. This is a look back at the time Nani was away & a little while after. Readers get to meet the new baby girl & some other new exciting characters.
Nani hasn't texted or called me in the past month. She definitely having fun though, posting her little pictures up on Instagram & all that. She knew she was getting to me so thats why I didn't even bother to give her the reaction she clearly wanted. To be honest I was over this, I was over her. I didn't even care about her not speaking to me, I didn't care about her being gone. The fighting & never having a peaceful day was too much for me. Being in a relationship shouldn't be this way, I should be happy right now. I should be having a wedding & marrying the girl of my dreams. Instead I'm home alone with my baby sister while my "fiancé" is out of the country ignoring me like a teenager. Luckily I had some time before she came home, I had some time to figure out living arrangements for myself. Working at the club as a stripper I was making almost 3 times as much as I used to back at Tiffany's. With the money I made now, I could actually provide a comfortable lifestyle for myself & my daughter. I went looking for apartments today for the 3rd time this week. I decided to look in Fort Lauderdale since it was closer to my job & they had really nice apartments in that area. The realtor I hired had been showing me really shitty places lately. I hope this place was at least halfway decent, because if this was a preview of what I was in store for, I wasn't looking forward to it.
"This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom & the master has a nice size balcony. Utilities are included in the rent so you don't have to worry about your water or electricity getting cut off." The realtor explained. "Why would my utilities get cut off?" I hissed. "Well, assuming that you missed a payment or 2-," "Why would I miss a payment?" "Well I don't know, things happen." "Don't worry, things don't happen to me."
She dismissed herself before she said any other dumb shit. I took a look around the place with Camille on my hip. Cami took a look around for herself as well, she couldn't stop looking & pointing at everything. I couldn't blame her, the apartment was so nice. It was a total upgrade from all the shitholes she had shown me before. The bedrooms were big & so were the bathrooms! Not to mention the balcony was such a decent size; I couldn't imagine that this was only $1,600 a month. Just as I was about to tell my realtor how much I loved the place, I emerge from one of the bedrooms to find her talking to someone else about the apartment. I didn't know if I wanted to scream or spit because this bitch didn't even give me a chance to form an opinion of the place before she brought someone else in to see it. My anger was quickly replaced with interest when I saw who she was talking to.

My mind went blank as soon as I saw her. She was so fucking cute, I never saw an AG that was so attractive before. She locked eyes with me after a while, & at that point I couldn't look away. Her eyes were just as cute as the rest of her. She smirked at me & I smiled back. The realtor decided to wait outside for us to let us look at the place more. "Hi, whats your name?" She greeted me holding out her hand. I shook it & smiled again. "I'm Mac, & you?" I replied. "You can call me Ghost," "But your real name is...," "Devin," She replied, chuckling. "Thats cuter than Ghost," I teased. "Dag, you already sound like my mom."
I continued into the kitchen, I still wanted to take a look around. I really was considering taking this place until my thoughts got interrupted. "Thats your daughter?" Ghost asked. I nodded & Ghost smiled at Camille. "She looks just like you, wheres her father?" "He's dead," I quickly responded. "Oh, I'm so sorry." "Don't be, he was a bastard." "Oh -- Its like that, huh?" I nodded again. "So, you're single?" Ghost questioned. "Um, yeah." I lied. Well it wasn't entirely a lie. I didn't consider Nani my girl anymore, she just didn't know that. But shit, I didn't know what Nani was thinking or doing! She ignored me for a whole month, she could be fucking every bitch in south east Asia right now. "You didn't sound too sure of yourself," "We just broke up about a month or so ago. Its just hard to think or talk about." "I'm sorry, I understand how you feel. I only been single for 3 months. Before that I was in a monogamous relationship for 6 years. It sucks sometimes being on my own but I get through it & you will too." she explained. "Thanks, you're really nice." "You're nice too, & you have a pretty smile." Blushing, I looked away & tried to hide my goofy ass grin. "Were you considering getting the place?" I asked. "Yes, I was actually." She replied. "Oh well okay you can have it." "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you wanted it." "No its okay, I'm still looking. I'll be okay."
I turned to leave, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. Ghost grabbed a hold of my hand & pulled me back. "I know this might seem really weird & sudden but I was wondering if you'd like to hang out." She remarked. "Um, I don't know." I replied, shyly. "C'mon, its just dinner. Maybe we could grab a drink or 2." "I'm not 21 yet, in a couple of weeks I will be." "So dinner it is?" "Sure," I remarked rolling my eyes.
We exchanged numbers & made plans to meet up. I didn't exactly know how to feel afterwards, so I didn't really feel anything. I didn't know if I should be nervous, excited, scared or ecstatic.
