(Jay) Things are about to get interesting, huh?

(Anna) I don’t know… This might just be one of those boring chapters, ya know?
                (Jay) Yeah… I guess your right…

(Anna) And there’s only one thing to do… WAIT AND SEE!!!

I had woken up the next day wishing the world would end.  I had stayed up all night with Anna (who, by the way, was unusually chipper) trying to come up with follow-up plans to the previous day’s semi-flirt sessions.  Anytime one of us had thought of something worth following through with, we would find something wrong with it and have to start over.  Now I know that makes us sound somewhat pessimistic (shame on you for thinking so… shouldn’t you know us better?), but there were some seriously legit reasons why, and those minor things jacked up the entire plan.

We couldn’t just talk to them because we had so little time when we were actually near them.

We couldn’t have our friends talk to them because A) we didn’t have many super close friends to do so, and B) c’mon… that’s just lame.

We couldn’t leave notes because we didn’t know where in the heck to start them.  Should we ask about sports?  Were they even into sports?  Were they into the arts?

Basically, all we got from the all-nighter was that we didn’t actually know all that much about these guys.  Or guys in general, for that matter.  One thing we had decided, though, was that if either of us wanted to win this thing, we needed to consult and expert.

We told our dad that we needed to get to school early for a project.  That wasn’t a complete lie… we did have a project, it just wasn’t exactly school-related.  We had to get there at least half an hour before school so that we could meet with the high school’s resident dating guru, Elisa McGowan.  Elisa had had her first kiss when we were all still in diapers – it was the kind that counted too.  Her mother ran Ella magazine, and Elisa was always having massive “how-to” sleepovers at her gorgeous paradise mansion.  These sleepovers often included hours of lessons on reading, getting, and dating guys, as well as make-up and hair tips for those in Elisa‘s “circle.”  However, we didn’t have any time for a girl-crammed sleepover that went on for hours and didn’t entail sleep.

                We needed Elisa.

                And we needed her fast.

Anna and I locked hands as we walked up to Elisa’s double-wide locker.  Our gazes were fixed to the Brazilian model-esque girl as if she were the goddess of love herself.  She had the ability to get any guy she wanted.  I mean, c’mon.  Everyone wanted that power.  I wanted that power.  And with my twin by my side, I had no doubt that we would somehow obtain it.

“Hey Elli,” Anna cooed cheerfully.  Elisa shut her locker and shot us a glamorous smile.  That was a pro to being both Anna and I: nobody hated us.  In fact, a lot of people loved us.

                “Hey girlies, whatcha up to?”

“We need help,” I said firmly.

She cocked an eyebrow and placed her index finger on her chin.  “Help you say… boys or beauty?”  Anna blushed, giving away our predicament.  “Oh, babes!  I can help you with that!  Now, let’s get started, I only have a small amount of time as you know,” she winked.  “Who are these boys I’m hooking my fave freshies up with, hmm?”
