Madison's POV

"Where'd you go last night? I lost you." Violet asks whilst were using the library for our lunch time.

"Oh nowhere..."

"What?" She chuckles. "What happened to you?"

"Well you see." I grin thinking about the kiss the boy and I shared. I still didn't even know his name. "That boy with the tattoos and blonde hair.. he kissed me."

"You kissed Luke Hemmings?!" Violet squeals. It surprised me how fast she recognized him. Luke huh?

"I guess. What's the problem with that?" I ask stepping out of the way as she searches for books.

"Just the fact that he's Luke Hemmings. Everyone knows to stay away from him. Not only him but the other three guys that hang out with him."

"Other three guys as in Calum, and Michael?" I ask. Violet looks at my like I just killed her puppy. "They seem nice."

"Excuse me, did you get knocked in the head last night while you escaped and made out with Luke? I know you didn't just say that they were nice."

I let out a small laugh. "I did. I mean they didn't actually acknowledge me or anything, but they weren't rude like Luke was at first."

"If they didn't acknowledge you, then how do you know they're nice? Secondly, since when did Luke stop being rude to you?"

As I think about I know, he was still quite aggressive, but I still think there's more to it. "What did you tell me a couple days ago about the party? Don't knock it till you try it? Well in this case, don't judge a book by it's cover." I wink just as the bell rings.

"Oh honey. You don't know what your getting yourself into." I hear Violet murmur as we exit the library. "Bye Maddy."

"See ya, V" I smile before walking to my last class of the day.

"Hood, Clifford. Your late." Mr. Croner speaks as the two boys make there way into the class after the bell.

The two boys say nothing. They snicker and walk, much to my surprise, towards me. "This seat taken? I didn't think so." Michael rhetorically asks, answering his own question as he sits by my side, Calum taking the seat next to me.

"Your Madison, right?" Calum asks me, ignorantly chewing on a piece of gum.

"That would be me." I nod.

"Your really pretty. Luke has said a lot about you." Michael blurts, quickly closing his mouth when Calum gives him a death glare. Luke has talked about me? I didn't even think he knew my name.

"You should meet our friend Ashton. He always likes meeting new people." Calum gushes.

"Do you like Luke?" Michael asks.

"I don't even know him." I say.

"But you kissed him." Calum points out.

My face turns 50 shades of red. "Yeah. I guess I did." I mumble.

After a short moment of silence, Michael says, "I think you should come eat lunch with us tomorrow. You can meet Ash, and also get to know Luke better. In fact follow me after class, and be sure to bring that Violet girl with you."

"You know Violet?"

"Of course he knows Violet. He's had his eye on her ever since he saw her. She just doesn't know it." This time it's Michael's face that turns 50 shades of red.

"Okay. It's a deal then." I giggle.

The rest of the class period consisted of Calum and Michael poking my sides in attempt to make me laugh, or telling dirty jokes that would get me called down in front of everyone. I was right; they were nice, and now after class, I got to rub it Violets face.

The bells rings signaling the class is over. Calum links him arm through mine, making sure that I don't forget about staying with them after class. I lead them to my locker though, so that we can meet Violet there. When she sees me with the two boys, her face turns a mixture of shock and confusion, maybe a little bit of excitement. "What are they doing here?" She asks in a hushed tone.

"They wanted me to meet there friend Ashton, but they wanted you to come too." I smile.

Violet sighs and reluctantly follows. "Michael where the hell have you been? I've been trying to look for-" Luke starts, but quickly closes his mouth when he notices me. "What is she doing here?" He asks through gritted teeth.

"We wanted her to meet Ash-"

"She's not meeting anyone." He says, not caring about the volume of his voice. Then to prove my point, he turns to me and spits, "Stay the fuck away from them." Then he storms off, running his fingers through his blonde hair.

"Sorry Madison. He's normally not like this. We better go though, he gets kind of scary when he's mad." Calum apologizes, practically dragging Michael away from a flustered looking Violet.

"Don't judge a book by its cover." She mocks me.

I roll my eyes. "It helped in your case."

When I walk through the door, dad sits there on the couch while mom is in the kitchen cooking something that pleases my nose. "How was your day?" Dad asks me.

"Okay. I made two more friends today." I smile thinking about Michael, and Calum. I push it aside when I start thinking about Luke, trying not to put a damper on anything.

"That's great! So listen, we've got news." He says as mom enters the living room.

"Okay.."

"So we were talking to your brother today, and guess who's moving down here?" Mom rhetorically asks.

"Parker's moving in?!" I practically yell. "How come?! I thought he was happy where he was at?" See my brother moved out as soon as he turned 18 because of the constant moving around, and he just wanted a stable environment.

"He just missed his family is all. We've got him working at our company, and he'll be moving in with us." Dad chimes in, using a happy voice.

"So does this mean we're not moving anymore? Are we going to stay here?"

"Sure does, baby. This is our new home." Mom hugs me, making my stomach do a million flips. I cant wait to tell Violet this.

"When will Parker be here?" I ask.

"This weekend."

After a few more minutes of laughing and talking about how great it will be to have Parker to be pack with us, I start yawing. "I'll be in bed. Goodnight guys." I wave them off.

Finally I get to call some place a home. I've always said that the place where I live is a home, but it wasn't really true because it wasn't permanent. It wasn't set in stone. This time it's final and I get to make real friends that I wont have to leave behind and never talk to again. I feel happy about going to school and seeing the people I get to call friends tomorrow.

The one person I still can't figure out though is Luke.
