Luke's POV

"Hey mate, what's your deal?" Calum questions.

"Come again?" I ask, stepping closer to him.

He puts a hand on my chest, pushing me back. "Stop with the hot headed attitude. I asked you a question, Luke."

"And who are you to talk to like that?" I huff.

"I'm your best friend who knows you enough to know that your not acting like yourself. Especially not to a lady."

I sigh, running my fingers through my hair. "I doesn't matter. Best friend or not, I don't have to explain myself to you."

Calum scoffs, shaking his head and leaving me alone with my thoughts.

~The Next Day

I trudge into school the next day, dreading having to face Madison. I knew that Michael and Calum would let her sit at our table today to meet Ashton and there's nothing I can do about it. Ashton a really nice person, so I know he'll definitely want to be her friend. That's something that I admire, but envy at the same time about the boys; they're both so nice and friendly even after everything that they've been through in life.

Suddenly the collision between me and another body, rips me from my thoughts. I blink a few times seeing Madison in front of me. "Madison! Meet Ashton." Michael chirps, making her break her eye contact with me.

I sigh loudly signaling that I didn't want to be here, and find a spot on the wall to wait for the guys. Of course Ashton being Ashton, he goes for a hug. Madison giggles and hugs back tightly. I feel the heat on my face rise, as they become too close to one another, lingering to each other's skin as they talk. "Fuck this." I murmur under my breath.

I start walking away in a tiff. A couple girls pass me and give me shy grins, something I get all the time, but never acknowledge. This time I may think a little differently. I spot a brown haired girl with green piercing eyes. Surprisingly enough, she approaches me first. "Hi." She says looking shyly down at her feet.

"Hello, beautiful." I smirk, making her blush. "What's your name?"

"I'm Alexis."

"Lu-"

"I know who you are." She says in a rush.

"Glad I got around enough for you to notice me." I wink at her. I then hold out my hand for her to take. "Walk with me."

Alexis gladly takes my hand and sheepishly walks with me. Little did she know I was leading her to the lunch room. When we get there, Madison, Violet, Cal, Ash, and Mike are already there. I feel Alexis' hand run up and down my arm. "I like your tattoos."

"Do you?" She nods, making the septum piercing jingle in her nose. I chuckle, sitting down at the table. "Hey guys, Meet Alexis."

The boys give me confused looks as does Violet. Madison however barely makes eye contact with me, which infuriates me. "Who's she?" Michael speaks up.

I put my hand on her lower back, pushing her down on the seat. "Ah you know we've been seeing each other."

"So your dating her?" Violet asks.

"Nah, more like a friend who sees me in times of need. If you get me." I tilt my head, smirking at her hard expression. I look over and catch a glimpse of Madison staring, but she quickly looks away sighing.

This makes me feel better, but not enough so I grab Alexis' face a direct it towards mine. At first she's taken aback, but she catches on and presses harder me to the point where we're making out. "God, man. What the hell?" I hear this come from Ashton. I pull back, watching Madison storming away with Violet and Ashton on her heels.

***

I walk into class, Madison in her seat. I take this opportunity to sit next to her. "What do you want?" She hisses.

"I can't sit next to a fellow classmate?"

"Not when your an ass for no reason."

"You think that was me being an ass?"

Madison shakes her head, not responding for a moment. "Why are you going to sit here if you hate me so bad?"

"I don't know." I shrug.

"Answer my question, please." She says quite harshly.

"Will you stop asking me so many questions?" I snap.

"How about I ask for your name, since you've never told me it. If were going to hate each other, I think I should at least now your name."

I sigh. "Luke."

"Have you lived here your whole life?" She asks. I suddenly feel uncomfortable with the question asking. A part of me wished I could talk about it, but I didn't know her, and that's what scares me the most.

"You haven't. Where are you from?"

"America." She answers easily. "Now you."

"Yes." I say through clenched teeth.

"How old are you?" When I don't answer, she asks, "What do all your tattoos mean?"
Touching my arm.

Instantly, I feel chills go down my spine, and I instantly pull back. The same feeling that I had the first day I saw her comes back, making me want to hurl. "Don't ever touch me again." I hiss, standing up so fast I almost make the chair fall back. Luckily the class was doing group work so it didn't matter.

I storm out of the room, leaving her alone and probably confused. I need to stay away from her. I cant let this happen again. I cant relive all the pain and hurt that I've been though already. Something tells me though that no matter how hard I try, this isn't going to work. She's already getting too comfortable with me.
