She was in tears.
"Kit are you ok" I say and half run over to her
She just continues to cry with her head in her hands.
"Kit sweetheart what is wrong" I say rubbing her back
"It just that was so sweet, I've never had..." She pauses
"Oh Kit" I say and smile
I lift her head and wipe away the tears on her cheeks.
I just smile at her and then my smile fades. We lock eyes and slowly I move my face to hers. We lock lips, her perfect lips fit together with mine like puzzle pieces. I just wanted this moment to last as long as it could because it was perfect. I've wanted for so long to kiss her. We stop kissing and finally open our eyes. Awkward silence falls between us. Then Katherine gets up and runs up stairs. I don't mean like a run upstairs that makes me want to follow her and pin her on the bed and kiss her over and over. You know the kind of thing you see in movies were they both are laughing and happy. No I mean a run like she didn't want to be around me, she started crying before she even got all the way up the stairs. What did I do wrong?
I walk upstairs slowly shocked and confused as to what just happened.
"Hey bro you ok, I just saw Katherine run upstairs" Jared says pointing upstairs
"Ya I ah, I, I don't know what I did" I say
"What do you mean" Jared asks
"I mean she asked me to sing her a song and I did and I made her cry because she thought it was sweet then I tried to comfort her then I kissed her then she ran away" I say
"Oh bro I'm sorry" he says
"It's fine, I think she just needs time" I say
"Ok, come on let's go for a swim" Jared says
"Ok, my stuff is upstairs though" I say
"You can use a pair of my trunks man it will be ok" he says
He goes upstairs and comes back down with two pairs of swim trunks. I change and so does Jared. We head outside and Jared jumps in the pool. I jump in to, the water felt nice.
