After Pete dropped me off at home, I snuck back into the house. I didn't want to wake either of my grandparents, knowing that they were already up late worrying. I planned to just tell them that I fell asleep doing homework at a friend's house. I didn't want them to worry any more than they had to.
Once I was back into my room, I changed clothes and washed up a bit. My body was so tired, and mentally I was drained. As soon as I crawled into bed, I crashed.
The next morning, I woke up and explained to my grandparents what happened. Once I had all my stuff together, I went to the school, where they boys greeted me at my locker.
"Hey, (Y/N)," Kyle instantly greeted. "Are you okay?"
I assumed that he was talking about my appearance. I knew, despite my efforts this morning, that I looked rough, but to be fair, I had a long night.
"Yeah, I just had a rough night," I replied.
"Is everything okay?" Stan asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine...I just didn't sleep well," I mumbled, leaning on the lockers. Standing was just too much work at the moment.
"Well, you know, if you need anything, you just have to text me," Stan reminded me.
"Same goes for me," Kyle chimed in.
"Yeah...I know," I smiled to them.
It was a week smile but still a smile. I didn't have a lot of energy to put forward for either of them at the moment. I was already dreading practice.
~Time Skip~
*Pete's P.O.V.*
The last bell of the day rang, and finally school was over. Earlier in the day, I told Mike that I wanted to get everyone together after school, and I also told Henrietta and Michael. I knew since I knew where the warehouse was, we could easily put a stop to this and go back to our normal lives. I just had to get Michael on board.
When I told him that I think I might have a way to get rid of them, he didn't seem too impressed. I assumed it was because of (Y/N), but this goes beyond that. I actual was able to find an opportunity to attack, and if Michael wouldn't listen to me alone, he'd have to in front of everyone else.
We all met under the bleachers, where the Vamp kids usually hung out. Everyone was talking amongst themselves, including Michael and Henrietta, who were leaned up against the wall, away from everyone else.
"Okay, okay, okay, everyone, I have gathered you here- WOULD YOU SHUT UP!" Mike yelled over everyone.
We all averted our attention to him, keeping our mouths shut.
"Anyways," Mike calmly smiled, "I have gathered you all here today because our fellow alley, Goth kid Pete, claims that knows a way to stop the emos."
Everyone's eyes quickly fell on me, so I stood up away from the wall and came a little closer to them as I talked, "I was outside of town last night, when I saw Luke's car pull into the entrance of one of the old warehouses outside of town. There were a whole bunch of cars, and it has to be where they meet outside of school."
"What were you doing outside of town so late?" Michael asked, glaring at me.
"Is that really relevant? Or was searching through my privacy not enough? You want a tracker on my phone too? Passwords?" I asked him, forgetting that others were around us.
Other's around us stared wide-eyed, especially Henrietta. She hadn't seen us go back and forth like this since we reject Marsh a couple months ago when he and Wendy split up again. Michael, of course, was against letting him anywhere near us after he left the last time, but I didn't see any harm in helping in comp. Just because we're goth doesn't mean we can't help others, which is strictly all I was doing with (Y/N).
Michael let out a 'tch before learning back against the wall, looking unbothered.
"Anyways, what does it matter if we know where the hideout is? What does that help?" Annie Barlett asked.
"You Vamps are such pussies," I scoffed. "Obviously, we're going to burn it down."
"Isn't that illegal?" Bloodrayne asked.
"We'll take care of that," Michael suddenly said, smirking.
"We all know how much you like to burn shit down," Mike snarled.
"We'll take care of this, right Pete?" Michael asked me.
I was shocked that he was even talking to me after our outburst. He almost seemed to have a complete 180 in his mood. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, waiting for a response. I nodded slightly, showing that I was in.
"And this will bring and end to this emo epidemic?" Bloodrayne asked, unsure.
"I can promise, you won't see another emo tomorrow," I assured them.
"Perfect, meeting adjourned then," Mike announced.
We all started to get up and disperse when Michael pulled me back by the arm.
"Pick me up at one," he sternly said before letting go of me and walking off.
I gave him a small nod before looking out into the gym. (Y/N) was playing...
Knock it off Pete. You need to focus right now.
I dug through my bag, making sure I had my cigarettes before existing the school.
