*Your P.O.V.*

The entire way to school, I could feel my anxiety worsen about the situation. As soon as I got to school, I went into a desperate search to find Pete. I first decided to start behind the bleachers. I had seen him go back there a couple time. Thinking that's where he hung out with his friends, I was shocked to find a different group of teens dressed in all black but with plastic fangs.

"Well, well, well, look who stumbled to the wrong side of the bleachers," a tall upper classman asked me.

"Where is Pete?" I asked, not seeing him or any of the other goth kids.

"You know I've heard rumors of a connection between the two of you. Michael had to bitch about his best friend to someone- but you are aware that you can get Pete into a lot of trouble, right love?" he asked me, taking a step closer with his words.

Trouble?

I started to back away from him, feeling uncomfortable. "C-can you just tell me where he is?"

I gave him a small, very forced, nervous smile before leaving the gym. I then went straight towards the back of the school. I slowly opened the door where four pairs of eyes landed on me. I had found the goths.

*Pete's P.O.V.*

I felt my heart stop as I saw (Y/N) come through the back door. It was as if time stopped for a minute. I could feel Michael's cold glare already on me, and I knew that I had to do something.

I took a hard swallow and deep breath, before I spat, "What's a conformist like you doing back here?"

She gave me a confused look and opened her mouth to say something.

No, I have to shut her up, quick.

"Shouldn't you be with the rest of your wannabe Kylie friends," I continued.

She quickly closed her mouth and frowned at me.

"You know what, just forget it," she quietly mumbled before going back inside.

Just as she left, the last bell rang from inside the school.

"Well, we better get to class," I suggested.

Everyone started to grab their bags and get up to leave. Just as I was about inside, I felt someone pull me back by the forearm.

"Pete," Michael called.

"Just leave it alone," I snarled to him, pulling myself away from him.

I have to find (Y/N).

*Your P.O.V.*

I was siting in the dark of the janitor's closet. I wanted to just cry over how pathetic this was, but I knew that I couldn't be around other people right now. If one person was just to ask me if I was okay, I would breakdown, and I didn't want to breakdown- not over something so stupid.

I was trying to catch my breath and calm my nerves when my phone lit up the dark room. It was Pete.

Pete- Where are you?

There it was. That was the little thing that I needed to be set off the edge. I looked at my phone screen as I felt a tear slowly fall down my face. I understood that he didn't want his friends to see us, but he was so fucking rude, not to mention the circumstances.

Me- What do you care? I'm just off with all my conformist friends.

I angerly hit the send button and threw my phone, in which it just bounced off the door and landed right in front of me. Seconds later, the door opened slowly to reveal Pete. That very moment I felt my blood boil.

"Look, I get that you're probably upset—"

"I'm probably upset!" I cut him off. "What could I have to be upset about? The fact that you just totally blew me off, or maybe, the fact that you killed—"

Pete quickly grabbed me, covering my mouth. "Keep your voice down. How did you even find out?"

I wiggled around in his arms until he released me. "How did I- it was on the news this morning Pete. I can put the pieces together."

He stayed silent and kept his eyes on the floor.

"Pete..." I said just above a whisper, "you killed someone. This is serious. You look like it doesn't even affect you."

"What do you want me to do? Go around crying about it? Yeah, like that won't look suspicious," he scoffed.

I took a deep breath. "Honestly, just leave me alone. You scare me..."

His anger quickly turned into shock, as his worried eyes met mine, "You don't mean that."

I took a hard swallow, not looking at him. "But I do..."

He let out a hysterical laugh. "Fine!"

He walked out and slammed the door behind him, causing me to flinch. It was then, I slowly felt tears start to fall down my cheeks.

I can't believe this is really you...
