Before I knew it was the party and all thoughts of Andrew and the box I had found in his home left my mind as I concentrated on tonight. After giving Blade the pictures I found, he told me to go home and concentrate on Claire's birthday so that was what I did.
When I got to the office and saw Claire, I ran over to her and hugged her.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you!" I sang as we pulled away.
"Thank you! God, another year gone already, I'm getting old!" She joked.
"Yeah, I think I see a few grey hairs." I pointed to a random patch of her hair with a smirk on my face. Pushing me away playfully, she laughed.
"The second I get grey hairs, I'm dying my hair grey so everybody will just think that it's dye and not me going old." She linked her arm through mine as we went to her office.
"That's actually a pretty good idea." I told her.
"I'm full of good ideas, you should know that by now."
"Are you ready for tonight then?" I asked her as we sat down.
"Nowhere near. I have no idea what to wear to a party hosted by celebrities. What about you? I know there's that added pressure considering this is also going to help with your mission."
"I don't know. I want to look sexy but not like I had spent all afternoon debating on what to wear, you know?" I asked her, knowing that when it came to fashion, she was the girl to ask.
"Have you got any plans for today?"
"No, why?"
"Because we are going shopping for some clothes for tonight."
"Great." I said.

Shopping was generally an alright experience but shopping with Claire was an absolute nightmare. She was like a tornado, whizzing from one store to the next, dragging me along with her to every one. We tried on countless amounts of clothes but it wasn't until the last store we went to that we decided the outfit we had tried on in the third shop were better so we had to backtrack just to buy them and then buy shoes and accessories that went with them.
That took up about 3 hours of our time but at the end of it, we were satisfied with our choices.
I had chosen a simple red dress that clung to my body but showed off my figure in a flattering way. I picked black studded heels and a black thin belt to go around my waist. As for jewellery, I had some at home that would go well so I would just wear those.
Claire had chosen a green dress that reached mid thigh and was low cut. It was a little too revealing for me but I assured Claire that it was her birthday so if she wanted to show off her figure, then she had every right to. She had gone for a pair of silver heels that had a strap on them and had bought a bunch of silver jewellery to match.
"We're going to look so hot." Claire told me as we left the shop to go back to mine, where we would both get dressed.
On the way to mine, I called Rosie and let her know what the plans were but she cancelled, claiming her boyfriend wanted a night in. I wasn't even aware that she had a boyfriend but I said okay, that it was fine and that she should have a good night.
"Tell Claire I wish her happy birthday!" She said just before I hung up.
"What was her excuse for not coming?" Claire asked, not taking her eyes off the road. We had decided that she would drive us to go shopping and then back to mine and I would take us to the party considering she didn't know the address.
