Minhyuk hide in the shadows as the party progresses. His hands were sweating and he keeps on wiping them on his trousers. Jungshin keep on grinning at him.

" Hyukkie for a grown up man you sure look tense. I havent seen you like this in any of our concert."

Minhyuk look at him and pouted. He was dreading the end of the evening. He watched Heiress from a far. Her friends went to her and congratulated her then they teased her. He cant hear them over the sound system that continue to play Byeol, the song he sang in the Heartstrings Drama. It was instrumental.

Heiress look around and seem to be looking for someone and he cant help but wish that she was looking for him. Then she look at her wrist watch. She kept on biting her lip. Shes clearly waiting for someone.

His brows rose and he cant help but guess who shes waiting for. He watch her walk towards the artificial ark near the entrance of the garden. He stealtily walk towards her. Shes waiting there with a frown in her face.

She turned and a girl approached her. Minhyuk was standing behind the bush and he can hear them talking.

" Heiress Scott was looking for you."

" He is?" She asked but her eyes were looking at the gate.

" Hey!" The girl tugged her arm. " Is he really coming?" The girls eyes brightened and she squeal. " Ohmygosh! Id love to finally meet your prince."

Heiress smiled indulgently at her friend. " yeah but its late. Maybe he's busy." She look at the gate again.

" But surely he knows its your party." The girl said and Heiress shrug her shoulders.

" I saw the invitation." She bit her lip before she continue. "He should be here...."

Minhyuks eyes widened when he saw her wipe a tear from her eye. Whoever that guy is, he wanted to beat him for making her sad on her special day.

" Dont be sad." The girl said.

" Maybe its true." Heiress suddenly say. Her shoulders drooping down. It took all his willpower not to go there and hug her. She looked so vulnerable. " I heard he has a girlfriend. He didnt really like me."

" No. I dont think so." The girl argued. " Hes so kind to you."

Heiress lip trembled and Minhyuk thought shes going to cry but then she heaved a deep breath and release it.

" Maybe he really didnt like me. Maybe it was all a lie." She whispered.

" Well the night isnt over yet." The girl said and she persuaded her to go back to the party.

Minhyuk went out of his hiding place, his lips drawn in a thin line. She likes someone else now. He hopes the guy is decent. He shouldnt make her wait.

He was walking towards the party, when a guy hurriedly walk inside the ark and stop to look around. Minhyuk look at him from head to toe.

A girl walk behind him and kissed his cheek. " I'll go ahead so they wouldnt suspect anything." She said in a low voice but Minhyuk heard. He watch the girl approach Heiress and her circle of friends. Then she kiss Heiress in the cheek.

" Congratulations!" She grin at her.

" Heiress!" The guy called and all of them turned to him. Heiress smiled sweetly.

Then to Minhyuks consternation, she half ran to him.

" Prince!" She giggled as he embraced her and kiss her temple.

" Hey baby congratulations!" He greeted her. Then he subtly look at the other girl who was smirking.

" I was waiting for you earlier. Youre late!" Heiress scolded him.

" uh..I got something to do..." He stammered. He followed her to her parents table and kissed her parents cheek before he slide his arm on her waist.

It was a huge blow to Minhyuks senses! He wasnt able to focus for a few minutes. All he can see is his arm as it stayed around her small waist. Heiress cant seem to take her eyes off him.

Id love to finally meet your prince

The words echoed around him and his shoulders sagged. He felt like he lost his greatest possesion.

Jungshin went to him with a smile but it vanished as he took in his friends expression. Then he turned to were Minhyuk was looking at.

He tap his friends shoulder as they watch the guy, Prince, playfully twirled Heiress around. Then he kiss her nose.

Without a word Minhyuk turn and left and Jungshin cant do anything but follow him back to their car. No one said a word. He can see that Minhyuk is struggling with his feelings. " Give me the key, Ill drive." He said.

Minhyuk wordlessly handed it to him and slide to the passenger seat. Jungshin turned the ignition on, then he expertly maneuvered the car out of the parking lot and left. He watch helplessly as Minhyuk close his eyes and hit his forehead on the window twice.
