Chapter 5: Safe

Once i was in the building, i ask the voice about the infected. "I don't know where the disease came from but all i know is that we'll survive my friend" he said. "Actually i was i going to the evac center in California." I tell him. "Ha, good luck with that." He says "i will make it, maybe you can come if you stop being an asshole." I tell him. "Me? No i don't wanna come. I can stay here and survive. I have food,water,weapons. I'll be fine." He tells me. "You know what, it's your choice" i tell him. I walked out of the building and got in my car. I seen infected start to run for that building and go inside. I hear screaming and then silence. "Oh shit. I didn't close the door" i say to myself. I drive off and head towards the next state. On my way there, i seen infected gathered around one building. "Maybe there are survivors in there" i say to myself. I stop the car and start beating down infected. After i get done, a little hatch opens and eyes appear. "Hey are you a survivor? The girl asks "Uh yea." I reply. She opens the door "are coming or are you gonna feed the infected?" She asks. I walk inside a huge complex mall. "Everything you need will be here. There may be some infected in the stores so if you're brave enough, you can take them out. If you're a coward, just ask one of our many survivors. Got it?" I nod "got it". She smiles "good" she says "now let me show you around so you don't get lost." She begins to walk towards the escalator. I catch up and follow her. "So what do you wanna show me first?" I ask "first i'll see show you the weapons store and next I'll show you the food court and that will end our tour" "what about the other stores?" I ask "i'll leave the rest to you" she tells me. After a while, we get to a store we with big Windows that held guns in them. "So is this the gun store you were talking about?" I ask. "No, no this is a sex shop of course it's a gun store" she says sarcastically. We walk inside and take a look around. "Get a gun and a knife, ok?" She tells me "Got it" i reply. I walk around "ok, i need a knife. Where can i find a knife?" I ask myself. I find a display case with knives in it. I see a knife that amazes me. It had a gray blade with a dragon at the bottom. "Is that the one you want?" She asks "yes, definitely" i reply. "If thats the one then by all means, take it" she says. I open the display case and pick up the knife. It felt light in my hands. "So, how is it?" I look at her and smile. "I love it" i tell her. My stomach rumbles. "Maybe we should eat something." She says. We go to the food court and get us something to eat. After we got done we went back to the main entrance of the mall. "So there was your tour of the mall. If you a tour of the rest. Just ask Suzanne. Suzanne!?" She tells me. A girl in a pink top and as black dress. "Yes mary?" She says in a sweet calming voice. "Show our friend the mall whenever he feels like it, got it? Says Mary. She smiles and nods. "Ok". She looks at me. "Tell me when you want me to give you the tour" she says. "Got It" i Say. She smiles and walks back to the room she came out of. Mary says "Ok guys, we have meeting. We're going to try to get to California and get to that evac. Follow me". She starts walking so we follow her. When we get to the meeting room, she orders us to sit down. "Ok, tomorrow morning. You better have your stuff ready because we're gonna get to that evac center. Get your stuff ready so we don't have to wait on you. Get it? Got it? Good. That ends the meeting" we get up and walk out of the room. After we eat, we get our stuff ready and crash into bed.
