The game came and the Otters won. Kennedy stood down near the change rooms on her phone, trying to not be noticed. She didn't want any of the local girls to come for her. She had her Otters hat tipped down to hide her face and her free arm wrapped around herself.

Dylan came out, took a few pictures, signed a few things, and stood with some fans to talk for a minute. He searched for Ken as he talked, and spotted her standing off to the side. He thanked the people he was standing with then excused himself to go over to her.

He tapped the brim of her hat when he got over. She lifted her head, looking surprised. He smiled at her as her she realized it was him. She tucked her phone in her purse before she leaped into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck. He hid his face in her shoulder as he held her tight.

"You played so well." She told him while they hugged.

"I'm glad you stayed to watch." He hummed.

He had honestly been nervous that she hated him since the night before. When they were getting ready for bed, she dropped a bomb on him about not wanting to share his bed with him. He was fine with that, it just kinda came outta left field. He didn't argue, he just made a bed for himself on the floor. She took the bed on the floor and apologized before they both just stayed silent.

They walked out of the arena, hand in hand. They were just going to walk around Erie for a bit. Kennedy had her head resting on his shoulder as they walked. He liked it. It felt comfortable. They ended up near the water. She sat down on a bench, pulling him down beside her. She sat on an angle so she was facing him. She grabbed his hand with both of hers.

"Last night when I didn't want to share a bed, it wasn't because of you." She started. "I just feel like you're still sheltering yourself because of Kara, and I get it, but I can't do that. I'm not gonna be the girl that sits here, trying for you, telling you everything, while you're still convinced that all girls are gonna hurt you like your ex."

He just sat in silence. She took a deep breath.

"I'm not going to hurt you the way Kara did. I'm not planning on hurting you at all, but I can't be with you and show you that unless I have your full heart, D." She frowned.

He looked up at her and then leaned in, pressing his lips to hers. She stayed frozen.

"My heart is yours whenever you want it." He whispered on her lips.

She smiled. "Good." She looked down, flushed. "I'm getting cold and it's getting late. Can we head back?"

He stood up, taking her hand. They laughed and talked as the made the walk back to the arena. They raced to Dylan's car when they saw it. She won but he said he let her. They sang along to the radio the entire drive back to Dylan's house.

Dylan watched Kennedy pack her small bag of things. He didn't want her to leave yet. He sighed as she zipped her bag up. She chuckled, giving him a questioning look. She walked over to his side, dropping down beside him. She leaned into him before he wrapped his arms around her and laid down, pulling her along with him. She sat up then laid on top of him, limp. He pressed his lips to her neck.

"Stay one more night." He whispered.

"I have class tomorrow." She whined, rolling off of him onto her back.

"Leave early." He sighed, cuddling into her sighed.

She thought while she played with his hair. Her class didn't start until two. She could make it back in time if she wanted. But she'd have to get up so early.

"I guess." She gave in. "But I have to leave at like seven."

He nuzzled into her neck. "Eight."

She giggled. "Okay, eight." She smiled, kissing his forehead.
