Chapter one

Alarm clock ringing

I groaned. I rolled over and pulled my pillow closer to my ears. Urgh, nothing is more annoying than alarm clocks! Why do I even have one anyway? Oh come on, that's just stupid and it doesn't make any sense. I mean, people buy alarm clocks to wake them up but then they'll be irritated by it. God, Seriously? People are just so complicated.

"Kendraaaaa!! We have a freaking flight! Damn, get out of bed!" My brother yelled, opening my door. One thing for sure, he is more annoying than my alarm clock.

"Kendraaaa!" He yelled right at my ear.

Oh God, fine. I'm waking up now.

"I hate you Brett Daniels." I mumbled first thing when I opened my eyes. I saw him rolled his eyes. I know, for an eighteen year old he is such childish and not matured enough. Oh and by the way, the trip we are about to have just a couple of hours later was all his crazy little plan! Thanks to him, I should still be sleeping right now.

"Ha ha, very funny little sis. Now get out of bed and get ready!" He pulled me out of my bed. At first I hesitated, but then when I saw his eyes, It held so much excitement and I cannot be able to say no to that. I sighed. I strolled downstairs to greet everyone good morning. Well hey, I'm always a morning person and that's a good thing about me.

The first thing I noticed when I reached downstairs was the cute blondie on our couch who has a puzzled smile on her face. Oh Kaitlyn.

"Oh my god Kaiteeeeee!!!" I jumped in excitement.

When she spotted me, she went crazy, "Kendeeeeee!!!" She hugged me tightly, then she sobbed in tears all of a sudden.

Kaitlyn Ross. My best friend. It hurts to see her cry and painful to know that the reason was me leaving her for a trip to 'who knows where'. But it's just a trip. Besides, we're coming back within a month.

"I'll miss you Kendra sweety! So much." She sobbed.

I chuckled.

"Well Ms.Kaitlyn, you better miss me cuz I'll get mad at you if you didn't." I said with a little chuckle. She bit her lips hiding a smile. I laughed at her. She's such a drama-queen!

"Where are ya going anyway?" She asked, glancing at the luggages on the floor that my mom prepared. "I don't know." I shrugged. Maybe because I just really don't care.

"It's Paris, peanut-head." Brett smacked my head. Ouch! God, this guy knows nothing but violence.

"I don't care" I sticked-out my tongue to him, and he glared back. Kaitlyn chuckled beside me. But then later on, she became serious. "Uh, Kendra can we talk? In your room?" she glanced at me.

"Oh, sure thing." I said, then we proceeded upstairs.

I wonder why she wanted to talk privately. Hmm...

When we reached my room, she aggressively closed the door behind us.

"Let's talk about Draven." She breathed out, making the word 'Draven' more obvious.

Ah, come on! Why him? Of all things to mention, that's what she wanna talk about? God, why?

"Please Kaitlyn, I'm done with him. I don't wanna talk about him anymore,"

"He wants you back."

I got choked by my own saliva. He what?! Oh she did not just say that Draven wants me back, right? We just broke up for god's sake!

"Kaitlyn," I mumbled.

She continued, "He told me face to face Kendra, he wants you back no matter what. He wants a second chance."

I snorted. Nice. Now he wants a second chance huh? Well, no. Never. Not in a million years. He had broke my heart enough, he had proved me what he really was and hurt my feelings. So we're done. So done.

"Let's just stop talking about him, please." I said quietly.

She sighed and muttered, "Fine."

I know Kaitlyn had always been a fan of Draven. She liked me and Draven together... like forever. But hell, that's not gonna happen now.

-

Later on, my mom barged into my room telling me to get ready because we're gonna leave a couple of  minutes later...

I took a quick bath, I grabbed a black skinny-jeans, a white tank top and above it, I have my yellow cardigan. For my feet, I wore my to-die-for boots. Oh I just love fashion! When I finished dressing up, me and Kaitlyn head downstairs.Everyone and everything was all set. They all have that excitement in their faces, like neither of them would just wanna fly up to Paris, forgetting all about riding an airplane. What's even exciting in Paris anyway?

"So I guess this is it?" Kaitlyn mumbled. I faced her. "Katy, we will still gonna see each other! Duh, it's just a month. It wasn't gonna take that long, I promise." I placed a hand on her shoulder. She smiled with teary eyes. I chuckled. "Oh come on, don't cry Katy! It's not like I'm gonna die or something." I joked. She glared at me. "Hey that wasn't funny." She commented. Well yeah, I guess joking about dying wasn't really a great joke at all. I mean, who knows? It can actually happen.

After a-hell-of-a-dramatic twenty minutes 'good-byes' and 'take cares', Kaitlyn finally came to compose herself and stopped crying. Good. And since our flight will be in 10:30, we have to check-in by 8:15 or something. I don't really know. All I figured was that we really need to go now So I faced my mom, my dad, and Brett. Wait... Something's . . . kinda weird.

"Why're ya all guys wearing blue?" I asked, quietly laughing to myself.

"It's a family outfit Kendra, didn't I told you to wear blue?" My mom said.

Ha ha. No thanks. Gladly I wasn't with their crap plans of wearing blue and other stuffs, cause if I am, this trip is not gonna last longer. I'm just gonna be myself and do whatever it takes to survive this so-called-trip, and if possible, without any family related craps.

Later on, we hopped into the car, and head for the airport . . .
