This chapter is dedicated to you, dear reader, for putting up with me, and my ramblings, when many don't. Thank you so much.
~ Chaser

So, I needed to publish a new chapter, so you got this one because it was already half written. It isn't really about the social, it's more about Kirsty's past.

Aliona's winter term went out with a bang. Her entire year had a social with a load of other schools.
Moriarty wanted me to go along, as Aliona's bodyguard. Aliona wanted me to go as a friend, rather than a bodyguard. She didn't want Jim being that controlling.

I didn't even want to go. I had hated every single school I had been to. I didn't want to pretend to be a school girl again.
From the C of E primary school I had gone to, to the boarding school, to the really rough secondary school- I hated them all. I had never fitted in at any of them, really.
Until my parents died, I went to a religious school, where I was the only kid who hated religion.
Once Seb joined the army, I had to go to a boarding school. Because my only family was in the military, the army paid for my schooling. While the other girls kept a secret diary, or something from their parents under their pillow, I had a pair of knuckle- dusters.
When I was 12, Seb quit the army, and I went to the local comprehensive in London.
I was also twelve when I first held a gun. I beat up my bullies, got put in detention several times, broke as many rules as possible, and got suspended twice.

But I went to the social, because it was my job. Aliona didn't want protecting, but she knew I had to follow my orders.
I drove to the school where the social was taking place, and found Aliona. We then walked into the hall where it was taking place, and I was instantly deafened. It was then that I remembered my hate for discos.

"Come on then." she said, and ran through the crowd. I could only follow her, trying to make sure that no one saw the Benchmade butterfly knife hanging from the belt of my jeans.
Couples were already dancing, and I could see at least two couples kissing.
I gripped the Benchmade. I felt a hand on my arm. "Don't kill them, yet." Aliona shouted in my ear, over the music.

I nodded. She pulled me through the crowd, and out of the hall, through some doors, and then we were standing in a small garden.

"That's better." I breathed.

"Hey!" A girl walked through the doors towards us.

"Kirsty, you remember Jem." Aliona said.

I nodded. I was now finally able to put a face to the name.

"Found someone yet?" Aliona asked her friend, who shook her head. "Come on" Aliona said, walking back into the disco with Jem. I could do nothing but follow them.
