I ran over to Oli. He was pacing with his hands gripping his hair.
"What happened?" I asked, out of breath. He looked over at me and shook his head.
"I don't know. But all of our stuff if in there. We have equipment in there. Socks is in there," Oli spoke quietly. He had a lot of fear in his eyes. Fear that the instruments and other things in there would get ruined. Fear that Socks would get hurt. I spun around and grabbed Andy's arm, pulling him over to the side of the bus.
"Bend down," I ordered him. Confusion flashed over his face, but crouched down anyway. I perched myself on his shoulders. "Stand up." He stood. I reached over and unlatched the emergency window from the side of the bus. It's a good thing I'm short. I climbed into the window. I heard Oli run over.
"Dylan! What are you doing?" He tried to grab me and bring me back down to the safety of the ground, but I shook him off.
"I'm getting out the stuff we need. Get the other guys, I'll hand the things down," I told him and climbed all the way into the bus. The water was up to my mid-thighs. First things first; figure out the cause of the flooding. I searched all over, finally finding water spraying out of the shower pipes. I went to the sink in the kitchen, where the controls to the water flow were in the bus. I turned off everything, and waded back to the bathroom. The water stopped. I breathed a sigh of relief. Now to get everything. I went around and grabbed random instruments; spare cymbals and drumsticks, guitar picks, acoustic guitars, a spare bass. Anything that was important, really. I went back to the window.
"Ok, the water was the shower. The pipe burst," I let them know. I began handing the stuff I had grabbed out to the guys. They took them over to a safe, dry place. I went over to the door and set it up so that the water would trickle out slowly. It took a little figuring out, but I'm a science nerd so it wasn't too hard. Next I went to the bunks and began stuffing the guys' stuff back into their bags, and handed them out one at a time. Last was my bag.
"Alright, now get out of there," Oli said. He was worried.
"I have to find Socks," I told him. He looked hesitant, but nodded anyway. I went back in to search for the small kitten. I saw him up on the kitchen counter, evading the water. I sighed again, and went to grab him. But he got a little too excited to see me, and fell off the counter. Straight into the water. Without thinking, I dove under to grab him. Socks was okay, but both him and I were soaked. My shirt clung to my skin as I made my way back over. Lee came over and took Socks. Since Andy was the tallest, he helped me out of the window. The BMTH guys were over in a group, surrounding Oli's phone. Andy put his hand on my shoulder.
"Are you ok? Why are you so wet?" He asked. I shook my head back and forth, like a dog, sending water flying.
"Socks fell in the water. I had to dive under and grab him," I explained. He nodded as Oli made his way over to us. He hugged me, ignoring my protests, and made sure I wasn't injured.
"Well, seeing as our bus is flooded, I made sleeping arrangements with a few other bands," Oli started. I nodded for him to continue. "Me and Vegan are staying on the PTV bus, Lee is staying on the OM&M bus, Jordan's on the BVB bus, and Matt's on the ATL bus." Andy looked a bit sad when he said Jordan would be with them.
"What about me?" I asked. Oli smiled.
"You get to stay with SWS," He said. I gasped and threw my arms up in a squeal.
"I get to hang with Kells!" I exclaimed and danced around. Andy, on the other hand, didn't look so happy. I stopped and looked at him. "Don't be so sad, Andy. I'll still visit you guys." He smiled and nodded.
"Ok," he said. I looked around.
"Can you bring me to their bus? I don't know where it is," I asked. He nodded, so I grabbed my suitcase and we made our way over to the Sleeping with Sirens bus.
