The ambulance and the fire brigade had arrived and you and L were sat on a bed in the back of the ambulance. L looked at your hands again, which were now just balls of bandages, totally unusable now.
"Ryuuzaki?" You looked at him and he looked back. "Will you pass me a strawberry? I'm hungry."
"Sure." He picked a strawberry up and put it between his teeth.
"Well I can't pass it to you so I guess I'm going to have to feed it to you..." He smiled and moved closer to you. As his lips touched yours, he pushed the strawberry into your mouth with his tongue and pulled away again, smiling all the while.
"Ryuusaki?" You asked again, this time with a slight smile on your lips. "Can I have another one?"
"Of course, (Y/N)." He said moving closer, but this time with no strawberry. You kissed him again, only to be interrupted by a paramedic walking into the ambulance and seeing what you were doing.
"Sorry! I just need to establish what happened, do you two know?"
"I know." You said. "I was stirring the pan, making caramel, and then I got lost in my thoughts. I accidentally kept on stirring, still thinking, and then it flew up in flames, scorching the kitchen, my eyebrows and the caramel!" You explained, all the while the lady was taking notes.
"And then as I walked into the kitchen to see what was going on, she picked me up and ran out, with Watari following." Ryuuzaki chipped in, still in his monotone voice.
"Was anyone else in the building?" The paramedic asked.
"Not that we are aware of." You said.
"Thankyou. We will inform you of any further information if we can later on."
"Thankyou." You both said, bowing.
