Chapter 23

You woke up to see your boyfriend snoozing with his head in your lap, the sun shining and the birds tweeting. Normally, because he was an insomniac, he would be awake, but it seems as if he finally managed to get to sleep for once. You looked at his cute panda eyes and giggled. He was drooling.
"What are you dreaming about Ryuuzaki? Is it cake? Is it cheesecake? Is it strawberry cheesecake?" You whispered.
"Actually it's button cake. It has beautiful (H/C) icing and cute little (E/C) sugar stars for eyes. Do you know why it is called button cake? Because it is as cute as a button!" He tapped you on the nose and you giggled.
"There was no cake was there?" You smiled.
"No."
"I'm the cake aren't I?"
"Maybe." He smirked.
"You were drooling over me? How sweet!" He wiped his mouth with his sleeve.
"Wait, I was drooling?!"
"Yeah, it was kinda cute to be honest."
"I bet it wasn't as cute as you though!"
"It was."
"Didn't think anything could be that cute!" You laughed.

(Time skip until the end of the day-)
You closed your eyes, about to go to sleep when you heard the door open gently. You opened your eyes.
"(Y/N), it's time for our date."
"Yay!" You heard a rustling then the light switched on. You then got lifted up into a piggyback position on Ryuuzaki's back.
"Is this comfortable for you?" He whispered.
"Yes Thankyou." You replied. You were carried out of the door, avoiding any hospital security, and outside into the courtyard. Then you were taken out of the gate and onto the pavement, going at a steady pace.
"(Y/N), do you see all of the pretty stars in the sky?"
"Yes, they remind me of your eyes Ryuuzaki."
"You took the words right out of my mouth (Y/N). Let's go see the blossom trees, ok?"
"I love blossom trees! They're my favourite because they remind me of the first time we met, in the park, where the blossom trees were."
"They remind me of the dress you wore that day, flowery and pink, just like the trees." You came up to the gate and you walked in. Ryuuzaki put you on the bench and then knelt down on one knee.
"(Y/N), I chose this place because it reminds me of you. Nothing else, just you. That is why i like it. I want it to be the place we first met, the place we went on our first date, and the place we got married." You gasped. "(Y/N), will you give me the pleasure of having you as my own, of having you to hug, of having you to kiss, and of having you to love. Will you... M-marry me?" There was silence. A wave of shock had washed over you, and you sat there stock still. Partly because you were physically unable to move, and partly because you were so happy. A tear came to your eyes and you started softly weeping. Ryuuzaki wiped it away and said,
"(Y/N), what's wrong?"
"I am so happy that you asked me, all I can do is cry! Yes! Yes! Yes I will marry you Lawliet! Yes!" He takes a ring out of his pocket and puts it on your hand. It was a silver ring, with a simple blossom flower shaped Jewel on it. He picked another ring out of his pocket, the same but a bit bigger, and put it in your hand. He moved your hand so it put it on his finger, and then looked into your eyes.
"So we're officially engaged."
"Yes." He picked you up and sat you on his knee. He looked down at you and you looked up at him, both smiling. You kissed each other, but it was better this time. More passionate, longer. When it was over, he picked you up and walked back to the hospital.
"We'd better get you back, safe now hadn't we?"
"Thankyou. I'm so happy, I am lost for words to even vaguely describe how happy I am at this moment." You said.
"Me too."
"Thankyou... L... Lawliet..." You muttered after a long chunk of silence before falling asleep on his back, in the same position you were in when you went out of the hospital.
