I had gotten a second chance! I was so excited and nervous at the same time. I didn't want to lose again and let Abby and the rest of the team down again. I didn't want to let my mom down again. She had been devastated after my first lost and I don't think she was ever the same after that.

I started practicing with the team and would get my second chance at the Xpressions competition in California. Abby gave me a solo and she also gave my friend/rival Maddie a solo too. If I won I would permanently be on the team and if I lost. I doubted Abby would ever give me another chance.
I practiced day and night. This solo meant so much to me. Losing was not an option. Maddie was tough competition.
