Akira's Idententity: Her Real Name is Tsubaki

"Tell me Akira. Who are you really? I know you are not the age you claim. And though we do have the same blood, you are not my sister. Who are you?" 

"My real name is Tsubaki. I am only a thousand years old. I am actually your mother. I used to not look like a child, or act like one. But thanks to Aizen, I am stuck in this form." At that moment her voice and the way she talked changed completely. 

"I was a failed experiment of Sosuke Aizen." 

-----Scene changes to a Captains meeting with all the captains and Tsubaki-----

"Aizen?! That can't be!" Captain Ukitake spoke. 

"It is true. It was about five hundred years old. I was married and pregnant with Aki. The experiment that caused Kisuke Urahara to be removed from the soul society, was actually Aizen. He was trying to break the barrier of power that separated a soul reaper and a hallow. Which caused the production of the Vizards and later on, the Arrancars."

"I was out late one night when I witnessed Aizen kill those poor people. He saw me and sensing my powers, tried to severe my soul chain and soul sleep. But at the last moment, something in my body sensed something inside him. I was laying there. Shortly after, I was forced into labor with Aki. Kisuke found me and tried to save me. At my wishes he found a home for Aki."

"I was dying. My husband ended up using his spiritual powers, which were very little and weak, to save my life. But in return, he died. My mental state went havoc and I was reduced to a child like form. I spent the most recent five hundred years searching for Aki. But I couldn't tell her my true self. I knew eventually that she would find out. She too has the power i possess."

"That's not possible." I say.

"But it is. You have personally witnessed what Aizen is capable of. With his betrayal and the Arrancars. He has been using the Soul Society. And even though he has been imprisoned, there is still other enemies of the Soul Society. I can not name who or what. But I can feel the presence of an enemy that is growing and is not that of a soul reaper. I can feel their blood lust." 

"If this is true, then we must know the full extent of your powers Tsubaki. We must also teach Aki to tap into these powers and learn them." Captain Ukitake said.

"I refuse." I say.

"What?!" the room echoes. 

"Its enough that we have one person who can practically read your mind by how your soul vibrates. We don't need two. And I'm a soul reaper! My powers as a captain, mixed with the abilities of soul vibrations? What would that accomplish? Besides the fact that the soul society could use me as a weapon? If I were to make one move that looked anything relatively close to betrayal I will be slaughtered by my comrades and you other captain. This is all by rule of Central 46." I said my voice shaking.

"Aki. Calm down." Toshiro said putting a hand on my back.

"Why do you think Urahara was banished?! He found a way to extend our powers past that of a captain. Central 46 fears that if more power, that beyond a captains power, is obtained, that order will fall in the soul society. They fear that if our limitations are broken then the era of kings and rulers will rise again. They dont take a chance in hearing out what side the person is on. They care about power. I'm sorry but I refuse to become a weapon, then a target of the soul society all for a power that will only be needed temporarily. I will not be hunted by my friends and the other captains." As I said all of this I looked everyone in the eyes. And as I finished I stared straight and head captain Yamamoto.

"I can talk to the council of Central 46 and try to assure your safety, but they are hard to sway-" Started the head captain, but I interrupt.

"No. I dont want an attempt to sway them. I want 100% certainty that I am safe from being targeted if I tap into my power." I said.

Everyone stared at me like I had the plague. No one has ever talked back like that to the head captain. But I did.

"How dare you talk back to me like that you ignorant, disrespectful-"

"Child? Ignorant disrespectful child. Is what you were going to call me. So be it. Maybe I am head captain. But at least I know I am not afraid of you. I've seen you in battle. I will admit I have never seen your Bankai or seen you in a full scale battle, but I have seen some of what you are capable of. You have great power that is to be feared. But you have a caring heart! The time you fought with Captain Ukitake and Captain Kyraku when Ichigo first came to rescue Rukia, you shown fearsome power but you cared for them like your sons and showed mercy! You are strong sir. But I do not fear you." I said standing firmly.

"That's the soul vibrations talking Aki!" Tsubaki said.

"No!. I refuse this power. I refuse to be a target and hunter after my purpose is served when gaining this power! I REFUSE!" At that moment a large shock wave rushed from my feet and out across the room knocking everyone onto their backs.

Everyone looked at me panicked, scared and surprised.

"Oh no..... What did I do?! What have I done?!"

I took off running. I ran out of the Seriete and into the Rukon district. I slowed down and started walking once I noticed people outside.

Children looked at me. I smiled and went to them. Once I got to about 50 feet from them one fainted.

I walked up to them and picked the child up. The child slowly opened her eyes.

"What happened to me? I feel hungry...... But that's impossible, we cant feel hunger."

"You're wrong. When a soul like you, has great powers hidden inside them, they feel weak without food to fuel their power. You have enough soul energy to become a soul reaper." I said still holding the child.

The other gathered closer to me. "The white Shihaksho. You're a captain right?!"

"I am. But a long time ago, I was just like you." I sad looking at the girl. "What is your name?"

"Sakura."

"Sakura. A very pretty name indeed. I am Aki Emiko. Captain of squad nine. Pleased to meet you. I must be going now, but take these. They will make you feel better, and here," I said giving her my Hairori "Ita going to get cold tonight, take this and stay warm." I said handing her rice balls and my hairori then walking away.

As I walked away I heard her yell 'thank you miss Emiko' and I smiled.
