Returning to the Soul Society

NARRATIVE P.O.V.

Two more months have passed as Captain Emiko trains with the others for the big fight with head Captain Yamamoto. Today is the day, they prepare for a long fight. Aki and the others have grown tremendously in strength, but will it be enough to take on the Head Captain.

AKI P.O.V. 

"Everything ready?" I asked nervously. 

"Almost." Kisuke said.

"Are you sure you want to come with us? You don't have to." I told Ichigo and Orhime. 

"Of course! We can't let you do this alone. Not after all the training we've been doing with you. You're our friend!" Ichigo said.

"We're just waiting on the other two to get here and we should be ready to go." Orihime said with a bright, reassuring smile.

"Thank you." I said to Orihime.

Thanks to Ichigo and his friends, I feel a little more confident in my fight with Yamamoto. I still know the outcome of the fight. I won't be able to win this battle, but at least I know I will be able to win my freedom. 

'Thank you. Thank you everyone. Thank you Toshiro, and Ichigo, Orhime, everyone who has helped me get stronger. I greatly appreciate what you all have done, and I could never repay you for this. Thank you.'  I prayed silently to myself. 

After everyone has arrived Kisuke prepared his makeshift Senkaimon. 

"Now it won't be as difficult to get into the Soul Society as it was when Ichigo first arrived, but the Captains and Lieutenants will be on high alert for you Captain Hitsugaya and you too Aki. So be careful. Whenever you are ready you may go." Kisuke said.

"Thank you everyone for helping me. Now, let's do this!" I said and began walking toward the Senkaimon.

We managed to enter the Soul Society. So far undetected.

We arrived in the squad nine barracks. My squad's barracks. 

"This is a rather ironic place to end up." Rukia said as we slowly walked through the barracks toward the Head Captain's office. 

"Kisuke has a twisted sense of humor that way." I said.

So far I haven't seen anyone in my squad. what is going on?

"Something doesn't feel right." Toshiro said.

"You're right. Something feels very suspicious." I said looking round cautiously. 

I hear the slightest foot step on top of a building.

"Everyone stop." I said sticking my arm out.

"Aki, what's wrong?" Orihime asks.

"There!" I said looking up to the roof tops to see Shuhei.

"Captain Emiko. You are under arrest for fleeing the Soul Society and for dis obeying orders from Head Captain Yamamoto. I have been ordered to take you in." Shuhei said drawing his sword. 

Shuhei jumped down towards us and went to strike upon me. Chad jumped in the way blocking his attack with that strange arm of his. 

"Go Aki. I've got him. This isn't your fight." Chad said pushing Shuhei back.

"You fool. Do you really think you can stop me?!" Shuhei said attacking again. 

"Thank you Chad! Please don't die." I said as the rest of us continued on. 

Then the alarm bells began to ring and a voice came over the Soul Society. 

"Red Alert! Red Alert! Fighting has broken out in squad nine barracks. The traitors Aki Emiko and Toshiro Hitsugaya are back. Take your stations."

"Damn! They already know we're here! Let's pick up the pace." Toshiro said as we all started to run faster.

After awhile of running, we managed to get to the squad three barracks with out running into anyone. 

We stopped to take a breath. 

"Everyone okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. We're okay." Ichigo said and the others nodded.

"Aki." Toshiro said tensely.

"I feel it too. It's Izuru Kira." I said looking around.

"I've got this fight." Uryu said pushing up his glasses.

"His Zanpaku-to doubles the weight of whatever it strikes with every strike so be careful." I said.

"That is why I should fight him. I use reishi to attack. He can't double the weight of reishi." 

"Alright. Good luck." I said.

Uryu went out of the spot we were hiding in.

"Hey Kira. You'll be fighting me." Uryu said.

"No matter who chooses to fight me. I won't let you get to the Head Captain!" Kira said as he attacked Uryu.

It was at this moment the rest of us continued on.

We were then stopped by the Captain of squad Two. Soi Fon. 

"Go, I got this." Rukia said and she drew her Zanpaku-to.

"Don't die." I whispered as we left. Rukia gave me a confident smile as she faded from our view.

"we've made it." Orihime said. 

"Please stay Orihime. I don't want to be healed during this fight. And you aren't strong enough to help. I don't want you getting hurt."

"Okay. I promise." Orihime said.

"Will you two please stand back and let me fight?" I asked.

"No way in hell!" Ichigo said.

"Ichigo." Toshiro said as he gave Ichigo a look. 

"Fine. Let us fight with you until you need your Bankai. Then we will back off." Ichigo says.

"Fine." I said. 

This is it. The big fight. All that's left from our original group is Ichigo, Toshiro, Orihime and myself. 

"If you need healing then leave the Head Captain's office and Orihime will wait outside. Just be careful." I said. 

The others nodded.

We're ready.

We enter the office to the Head Captain. 

"I've been waiting for you Aki Emiko." said the Head Captain as he turned to face the three of us. "Ah, Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki and Captain of squad ten, Toshiro Hitsugaya. You're here to help Captain Emiko. I congratulate you on your bravery to face me head on. But I will advise you that this is a big mistake." the head captain said as he tossed off his haiyori and the top part of his shihokusho to fight us with his hands.

The three of us nodded to each other. Ichigo ran to fight on the head captain's left side and Toshiro ran to fight on his right. I'm taking dead center.
