The Dome Series: The Corrupted City

Chapter 1

"Wake up!"
"Wake up!"
"Lealoni it's 4:30 am let's go" Mom says.

You can hear the district alarms go off over mom's loud voice.
"Lealoni come on!! The fields aren't going to grow crops by themselves."

"Okay mom, be right down!!" You can't help but be irritated by mom's voice. The second bell goes off and we make our way down to the fields.

10 min later

A V.I.L.A army truck makes its way towards the filed, but not your ordinary army truck a metal reflecting rugged one.

"Stay here." Dad says. Dad is chief of District 1 so you could imagine my life nothing but rules, but I know he just wants to protect me. I start to work on the field when I just can't help but listen to dad's conversation.

"Can I help you soldier?" Dad says.
"Yes, we have orders from V.I.L.A to receive your crops." Soldier R says.
"I think there's a mistake sir? We just sent you our last shipment last Monday." Dad says nervously.
"Yes, you did but the people need food and your the distr-" Soldier R says.

"Lealoni start your work." Mom says cutting into the soldier R's sentence.
Dad looks back at us and smiles, but I can see something is wrong. He starts to head back across the fields to go to the barn. An alarm goes off.

"What? Why is an alarm going off." I say to myself.
"Come on let's go!! One by one start to head back to your homes." Soldier A says
"Come on honey let's go." Mom says quickly.
"Wait, what about dad?" I said.
"Don't worry about him, he'll be okay." She says unknowingly.
