The Dome Series: The Corrupted City

Chapter 3

"Louis."
"Louis wake up." I said shaking him.
"Just 5 more minutes." he said in a moaning voice.
"No, it's urgent. Get up now." I said acting like mom.
"Fine, I'll be down in a few." he replied quickly.

"I wonder if dad's ok? He is right? I'm not going crazy... I wish I could be out there seeing what they are doing. I just wish, I just wis-"

"Stop mumbling sis. It's going to get you in trouble" Louis says sarcastically to get on my nerves.
"I'm not, I'm just thinking." I replied
"Okay, just be careful you don't want to get caught again." He says.
"You know for a 17 year old boy you really know how to bring down a girl's day." I said.
"Well did you know for a 19 year old girl like yourself you still don't have a man." He says in a snappy voice.

"Stop it you two!!" Yells mom across the room.
"I can't hear your guy's farther at all." She says nervously.
"Is everything okay?" Louis asks.
"No, no its not." I said.

2 min later

*BANG!!!!*
Men, Women, and children screaming!!

"What happened?!?" Me and Louis say in sync.
"I don't know, but it doesn't sound good." Mom replied.

"We walk outside and everyone is running around like wild chickens with their heads cut off.
There's bodies on the floor that been shot, and worst half aren't even the soldiers there women, men, and children.

*BANG*
Another gun shot goes off.

"Where's dad?" Louis says
"I don't know, and I can't see with all this smoke in the air either." I replied
"Guys we need to head to the bunkers" Mom said
"No! I'm not leaving till I find where dad is!" I yelled.
"Lealoni we have to go with mom." Louis says.
"You go with her I'll find dad." I said
"Okay, be careful and don't get hurt." He says.
"I won't, so go! Now!" I screamed at him as we departed away from each other.

It's so dusty and dry out here I can barely see anything. I want to cry out for him, but I feel if my mouth will taste the soil from the ground and become dry.

"Dad!" I scream
"Dad where are you?!?" Screaming even louder

I see soldier R in front of a man talking, but mostly yelling at him. I wonder if that's dad?

"Dad?!?" I screamed
"Honey?!?!" He screams back in fear.
"Dad I found you!!" I say as I'm getting blown away by the dust.

"You have done nothing but argue and distracted me from my orders!! I here by call you DONE!!" Soldier R says.

*BANG*
"NO!!?!!" I scream uncontrollably.
"Dad!!" I scream as I fall to my knees.
"Let's get going boys!! We've done enough damaged here" Soldier R says.
I get up from the floor and walk over to my dad's dead corps and fall right next to him and ball. Could this be? Is this for real? All these emotions coming in at once. Unstoppable as they rush through my body like the first spark of fire.

"Dad!!" I scream
"Dad!! Don't leave me yet! Not like this! Not like this!" I say louder

People start to make there way out of the bunkers and see me on my knees crying. I start to stand up to look at what is left of this District to only find fire and disctuction. I now know that V.I.L.A is evil...
